You can absolutely get criminal charges for workplace accidents. Usually, they go after the business owner. Most places would leave the parents alone.

Trailer showed up today with wires coming out and run along the door. So they looked inside which answered no questions and raised several more because the wires went to 4 car batteries and a chest cooler that was duct taped and bungee cords shut.

One visit by the police later and a call to the originating site, we found out the originating site (same company) was running a test. Somebody wanted to run a test to see if they could DIY turn a dry trailer into refrigerated. It was a home made cooling unit.

Also around here a yellow valve usually means "gas," so that thing is perfectly placed for someone to take a trip off the stairs and bungle into it, possibly snapping it or just turning the valve.

I mean poo poo, even if it's water, I'm about 99.9% sure there's no drainage in that room anywhere.

Even smooth gloss epoxy floors without aggregate added tend to be pretty slip resistant; at least a lot more so than they look.

e: That's not to say you can't slip on them when they're wet, but it's not like a polished marble floor in my experience. Epoxy is a really good floor covering for plant/shop/garage stuff, though obviously you can choose remarkably terrible looking stuff.

If you manage to oops into snapping a 3/4" galvanized pipe you are probably deserving of what you get. Even if the valve were on the line is capped. That gas line is a total non-issue.
