There's this Autechre song that's in 9/8 and the song sort of speeds up and slows down a lot to fit this time signature; I can't for the life of me remember its name. I might not be giving enough info off of this one but I've got the vague part of a song stuck in my head. It's got an overpowering rock/techno backdrop, and I remember the words "LIKE THIS" or at least something that rhymed with it. Most likely a 90s song, could be later though.

I have a song that I'm beginning to think is mislabeled. The song is supposively Deftones' "Amnesty" (although I have it as "Amnisty"). The mp3 tags claim it's from the album "Lovers" which later became their self-titled album. Looking around on Google, I only see one reference to the song, and it claimed it's not a Deftones song. I figured I can't be the only one with this mp3, and it doesn't appear on their B-Sides album. Wikipedia and Google haven't turned up any relevant info for me (and you get a lot of information about Deftones and Amnesty International now), but they have a good following, so I though someone here might know what this song really is.

There's a song that I think is by Imogen Heap (or Frou Frou, or something else that sounds like her) that I can't remember the name of, and all I can remember from it is a section of what I think is the chorus, or maybe a breakdown towards the end. What I remember is a line that repeats, in which there are elven syllables separated into three groups of three followed by one group of two. There's a descending melody within those syllables. I can't quite remember the words, but I think it might end with "that you gave to me", or something like that. I realize this is a terrible description but I'm hoping someone can picture what I'm talking about.

This is a bit of an odd request, but it has been bothering me for years. In windows vista there was a stock video with a little butterfly eating from a flower, well in the backdrop if you turn your volume way up you can hear a song playing. It sound like the end of a guitar solo from a Pink Floyd song or something but I can't seem to figure out the exact song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rIgjfVQdus Have a go at it, it almost sounds like it repeats half a bar at the beginning, but it should be enough for someone to pinpoint the song.

Just been having a beer and watching clips of colonial era slaughter on youtube when I came on this clip from Young Winston. What's the song at about 3:45, when the cavalry charge begins? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztQ9dvBY-OM It's a fairly obscure film (despite the subject matter and being directed by Dickie Attenborough), so even IMDB doesn't much info on it. It doesn't sound like score music though, and I'm almost certain I've heard it before. e: IMDB says its Elgar. 2nd e: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQz__x_qD04 mystery solved, everyone go home BeigeJacket fucked around with this message at 20:05 on Aug 30, 2010 |

This will be hard but I had this song stuck in my head for so long. The only thing I can remember is that the word "believe" was in it and was stretched (like "believeeeee") and repeated over and over again. It may have been something in the House/Techno/Synth thread.

I've heard this song 2 twice now, at my gym and no one ever knows what it is and as a sample in a mashup, i've been though every mashup i own and cant find it. The best way i can describe it is the bass line is super "fat" and sound very similar to the addams family intro "dur-ner ner-ner". I say Addams Family because when i ask people and i tell them how it sounds they tell me its the Addams family theme and i am mistaken. Also it kinda sounds like Method Man is rapping in it, but i cant be %100 sure, I've been though alot of Wu-Tangs songs, no dice as of yet. please help SassyCommander fucked around with this message at 11:44 on Sep 1, 2010 |

Hey guys. Ive been thinking of a couple of songs for a while now, but i cant find them. In the nineties i used to listen a lot to MTV chill out late at night here in the netherlands, and i remember some awesome songs from there that i want to hear again. One of the songs was with chainsaws, and indian woman singing. The whole beat was made up from chainsaw sounds i remember. The other was more electronic music, i remember one of the video clips had basicly some childrens toys which people looped together... I think the name of the band of that had something to do with hexadecimal or hexa something. EDIT: Ok thinking about the 2nd, i remembered the lyrics machine toy and found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIZSsND-BHc . Machine toy by hexstatic. Ok thats one down but i still have no idea about the chainsaw song, i dont think it was the same band. EDIT2: Been listening to hexstatic since, and the first song was by them! Its http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8-QDCKdVO4 timber by hexstatic. Well thanks NMD. Captain_duck fucked around with this message at 18:47 on Sep 1, 2010 |

To be honest, I'm not even sure this is a song. Usually when I hear something and it catches my ear, I'll text lyrics I can identify to a friend of mine and, instead of sending it, save it as a draft so I can read it later. I also do this to remind myself of little things that I know I need to remember but I know I'll forget over the course of a day. I've had a line saved in my drafts for a few months now that, I can only assume, was a song I had heard at some point in time. It says, "Stand back while I run into the road." I couldn't say what it sounds like because I honestly don't even remember writing it, but if anyone has a guess that would be pretty cool.

Here's a weird one. In one of Taco the Wonder Dog's MP3s, there's this ridiculous happy bouncy music underneath him yelling about anal sex. Is that background music just something he came up with, or is it actually a song? The MP3 is supposed to be "an allstar tribute to Japanese noisecore," so my guess is that it's actually Japanese noisecore. http://tindeck.com/listen/ftdx
