some of those would probably be fine matches if they ever had a chance of actually happening + it was done by the people who usually agent aew matches I am on mobile though so idk if any of those are particularly egregious

I like how there are some pretty cool match ideas with logical reasons behind them, then there's just "Takeshita and Shinsuke because Japanese", "Joe and Solo because Samoan", and Jericho/Drew, Darby/Braun. Everything else would probably rip except Mox/Lesnar unless Lesnar was actually interested in having a fun, cool match.

Yes. There are some good ideas in that Tweet but the one that bothers me is sticking Hangman in this Bullet Club 4 way when you can just swap out Kenny for Hangman and still have a good card.

In this hypothetical world where other companies could be acknowledged, there's actually a good story you could tell between Takeshita and Shinsuke Chinsuke Nakamura (the Shinsuke impersonator in DDT) beat Takeshita to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight title in 2019 and then they never interacted again. Just say that he took all this time and effort working his way up across the card, across companies, to earn his right at revenge against Chinsuke, and keep the comedy angle of it going by having him not know this is Shinsuke not Chinsuke

Aye it was on freeview and WWE is on the higher tier of Sky that got you Sky Sports at the time. Like how during the Attitude Era WWF was bigger because you'd have to see it on Channel 4 and you had to pay extra to see Channel 5 and Channel 5 was viewed as poo poo.
