if I wanted people to think the bloodline was the greatest story in wrestling history I would avoid bringing up what was happening in 2020, which was roman and jey having 25 minute matches where roman got 95% percent of the offense and just yelled at jey the whole time. and also the like 2 years after that where nothing happened and no one cared until sami joined

Aside from Chase and Yano the G1 field looks good or has young guys who haven't done a g1 so its worth giving them a shot. And Yano at least serves a role as an easy comedy match Sure Hikuelo may not work but why not give him a shot

He's in all 5 of the top 5 matches, 7 of the top 10 & 11 of the top 20. Good Lord he was terrific that year.

Pandemic era NJPW went really really hard on cheap heat at a time when crowds couldn't boo so it made the shows feel really weird. It worked for stuff like Naito winning the title back but most of the time it did not.
