the refs screwing poo poo up definitely hasn't been the main talking point of this postseason

No, they did not make the right call on the field. It was over turned as he obviously lost control of the ball during the catch when it hit the ground.mike pereira agreed with the call and so has the current head of officiating. It was a no brainer the way the rule is written dude.

The reach doesn't really count towards making the catch though. For example, if he had caught the ball while upright, reached forward, and immediately dropped the ball, would you call that a fumble?

aside from all that, does anyone know why romo didn't target his wideouts more? we all know dez is a playmaker and it seems like terrance williams was hot, why so many targets for witten today?

because GB has pretty good corners and garbage ILBs.

Thank god the Packers have no choice but to cut Jones and Hawk in the offseason. Barrington and a rookie here we come. Maybe a Chillar like signing.

Watching the game on DVR and LOL at Joe Buck saying "Cole Beasley is like a Welker in his prime." Dude had 420 yards and 4 TDs this season... Nothing like a Welker in his prime.

Who will be there at ILB late in the 1st round? Anyone worthy of that high of a selection?

Benardrick McKinney out of Ole Miss and Denzel Perryman from Miami are some decent looking prospects.

If the Cowboys owner wasn't so vehemently opposed to having full time referees, maybe they'd get the rules right when it mattered most for the Cowboys.

Lol at the idea of this possibility helping you get over the loss.

e: how enraged will you be if a questionable call wins the game for the Packers? And what if that call was identical to the Dez Bryant play, but it was Jordy Nelson and they called it a catch.

The Seahawks don't need questionable calls to win next week. Rodgers is hurt and even 100% healthy Seattle is probably the better team.

Since I thought Dez Bryant's catch should have been a catch, I would be mad that we lost, but couldn't really complain.

Edit: Honestly, I think the Seahawks have a better chance against Green Bay anyways. But that should have been a catch.

Knees and elbows don't matter when you're falling down while making a catch.

The problem is that when you're falling down, it's too problematic to say "Well, it seems like he had control." The only way to be consistent is to see a clear-cut catch, which is maintaining control through the process.

Grabs ball with 2 hands, takes 3 steps forward, switches hands with the ball, reaches out with the ball.......somehow, not a catch.

GG NFL.

That subjective "rule" gets changed this off season without a doubt.

He was asking about a hypothetical situation with a fumble, the only reason I used the knee being down in my post. Sorry for any confusion

I just bring it up because the catch is a separate act from his knee being down. That's what the whole rule is about, and the point I was trying to make.

I wonder if they overturn the call if the ball doesn't pop out at the end
