If it’s meant to be satire, it’s one of those pieces of satire that leans too heavily and becomes so intensely what it seeks to mock that any humour or irony is obliterated.

Calling your game postmodernism seems like a pretty good strat, any bad reception you can just say that its meant to be bad because  . I'm leaning heavily towards it just being bad though I don't see a writer having the massive experience needed to satirize something this well.

I've heard yiikman accuses the player of being just like him or something. Maybe that's fair, there's very few explanations for actually playing through the game unless you actually like listening to the main character. I mean, the LEMONADE scene consists of another character, not the author, telling someone to stop being sad about his sister's suicide or something. In another thread someone posted a scene where someone sends yiikman the actual Elisa Lam video recreated in the game's graphics but before that yiikman blathers for eight text boxes about all the porn it could be and all the girls he ever met in middle school or something. You don't write poo poo like like that if you have self awareness, you only destroy the tone of your scene that hard to shove your lovely thoughts in if you actually are a tedious gently caress with no understanding of how other people think and no life experience but desperately want to be seen as someone who can say meaningful things. Someone's going to have to LP this just to document how poo poo it is, but I already had a theater writing class in undergrad and this smells familiar.

His leading candidate for hosed-up video material is a porn video featuring a girl he went to high school with "doing something un-ladylike," but he considers and discards this because none of the girls he went to high school with seem like they'd have ended up hot enough to be in porn. (Classy!) Then he actually watches the video, which as mentioned is the Elisa Lam video recreated pretty much shot-for-shot, then goes to a message board, where one of the posters is arguing about the victim in the video being ugly. (Double classy!) There is no evidence anywhere that this is parody.

From what I understand the game cant use a half-baked understanding understanding of Post Modernism as an excuse because the second ending is the game telling you post modernism is wrong, and espouses New Sincerity almost literally by name. Edit: The actual game is bad with the standout being how loving awful leveling is. Seriously watch even one video on it.
