Legs are a bit odd but it’s not uncommon to injure your shoulder sleeping especially if you like to put your arm under your pillow

Ladies and gentlemen, I have accomplished something, so I'm here to share it. I took this old CD shelf, that was my first woodworking project I did on my own, and turned it into the top for a new kitchen table. The CD shelf had a lot of little screw ups, and well I don't need a place to publicly store CDs anymore, so it was time to go. I used wood from a different abandoned project that I had laying around to make the legs. Top is hickory, legs are maple. Let me tell you, I still suck at making a perfectly flat table top, but I got it good enough. Only thing that is screwed is the top down to the legs, just in case I ever need to remove it; everything else is glued. Legs and runners are mortise and tenon joints. Boards for the top are joined with biscuits. Old shelf  New table. Chairs are from Ikea and are there just for reference.  e: this is a little bit better picture of the table. Don't mind the messy floor.

Our house was in generally good shape when we bought it, but all of the finishes and fixtures needed an update. We paid someone to do the floors, I don't trust myself to do that.
