Black socioeconomic attainment in the US was on an upward trend from the late 60s until the late 80s. You know, because of the Civil Rights Act, the War on Poverty, and other progressive democratic policies. Then crack cocaine happened, which we all know was a Republican/CIA/Iran-Contra related conspiracy.  So, no, progressives are not to blame for black poverty, incarceration, disenfranchisement or unemployment. It's pretty much 100% Ronald Reagan.
