Yeah from the video it's impossible to tell that it's almost entirely 70s wood paneled rooms with a nonsensical layout and bad carpentry.

Glorious. I'm really loving the old Adam episodes. According to the youtube comments though, this is from his morning show and not loveline. Is there a similar rant he did on loveline regarding zoning laws that was mentioned a few pages back?

What about Drew's "I'm a rapist!" drop? Anyone know what the context of that one was, or where I can find it? I'm sure that's a tall order, so no biggie if no one knows, but I figured I'd ask.
i remember listening to the show, i believe it was with dag or some other guest. the context was they all had an offensive phrase to say on cue (it might have been something jag related?). hell if i can remember more than that though! sorry :)

That was a long time after the original use. The conversation drifted to all of them picking a catchphrase and Drew couldn't think of anything until Anderson played the rapist drop.

I'm a carpenter, it's poo poo.

It must have been awkward the times they actually had "name" guests and they walked them into 1977 era mobile home decor complete with microphone stands encased in Crown Royal sacks.

I am all that is man.
And the STP episode was so awkward. Scott Weiland was so doped up he was speaking about one word every two seconds, and would trail off half way through his sentence and there would be this long silent pause....

Adam finally started just interrupted him and moving on to a new thought. Was awkward and made Adam kind of seem like a douche, but holy poo poo Scott shouldn't be allowed to talk. The other guys seemed much more interesting but hardly ever said anything.

Although the mood really improved for a bit when he found out that one guy in the band used to manage a building contractor store. I love how he lights up when the subject of carpentry comes up.

Are you talking about Scott Weiland? Because to be fair, the guy's a major recovering heroin addict, so I think his chemistry is a little fried.

That was a very interesting TV series, if you're an Adam Carolla fan. It's more about getting to know the people he grew up with. The editing on it by TLC is atrocious, though.

Has he said it on the radio? I thought he did it to ham up the Adam Carolla Project. I refuse to believe he did this for anything other than the TV exposure.

I have been wrong in this refusal to believe before.

He's talked about it before, yeah. Basically that he hates conflict and since he has no self-esteem he doesn't assert himself in those kinds of situations. In normal life he's either railing about meter maids or doesn't say anything.

Actually, this caught my eye the other day. I bought some concert tickets, and as a result Rolling Stone started sending me free magazines that I CAN'T CANCEL....

Ahem. Anyway, I saw an interview with Scott Weiland in the recent one, and he basically says "Oh yeah, I've kicked the drugs, that is done for good...I have started drinking again, just a little though. Love that whiskey."

I was doing a Dr. Drew head-shake so hard in my mind.

I'm so glad I found this show like... three or so years ago or whenever the first iteration of this thread was posted. Now I have an episode playing whenever I go to sleep and there are still hundreds of hours of episodes I haven't listened to.

Still it's pretty sad I may be the only person in Melbourne, Australia who enjoys it so much.

Anyway thanks GBS goons!
