I'm looking for some sort of MTG card database that will let me search by a specific ability. Specifically- "pay or do X and return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield" So zombie type like cards i.e. dread wanderer, haunted dead, stitchwing, prized amalgam etc. I can't find a good MTG card database that will let me search for this ability. Maybe I'm wording it wrong in the search terms, but I've tried a lot of variations. Can someone please tell me how I can locate Standard legal cards with this ability only? I appreciate the help.

Not with the EXACT ability, since there's variations on it, but if you include the key words, you should have a good search going.

Second magiccards.info, it's more robust than gatherer without all the fluff that slows down the site & ocassionally breaks queries.

One benefit of Magic's consistent templating is that once you know how an ability is worded, you can usually find all instances of it pretty easily.

If I can't be a goblin it will already by worse than WoW. Though from the description, they just said 'AAA' RPG, so I have no idea where people are getting that it's an MMO; God knows PWE/Cryptic have enough of those floating about. I'm expecting something with about as much resemblance to the source franchise as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

scryfall.com is the best mtg search site now, it's basically a clone of magiccards.info but run by people who actually update it immediately when there's a new set rather than dragging their feet for weeks.

It is kind of depressing. How will our heroes defeat a 60-year-old plan made by an ancient dragon genius AND an incredibly powerful demon? Through the power of deus ex nissa, of course, since LEYLINES do everything now, apparently. Oh also WotC is ripping off the 10 plagues and it's almost guaranteed to offend people

So I have a rules question that I can't find the answer to anywhere. If I'm playing against someone with a Thunderbreak Regent on the field and I cast a Crush of Tentacles, does the Thunderbreak deal damage to me or not? The guy I was playing with obviously said it does because the dragons are being affected but I said it didn't because I wasn't specifically targeting any of the dragons. I've only been playing magic for like a month so I'm probably wrong but I can't find an answer anywhere to tell me.

Shock targets, so it says target. Pyroclasm does not target, so it does not say target. There's no implicit targeting.  Even though Duneblast seems like it should target the creature you choose, it's not targeting, because it doesn't literally have the word "target".

Would there be a deckbuilding/strategy thread about the Amonkhet set? I'm in some sort of local 60 card draft tourney thing, and since I haven't played since Scourge I was hoping I could get some pointers. The draft/brewhaus threads don't seem very active.

I might be a little confused, but I think it's more like constructed thing? We started with six packs to ourselves to make a 40 card deck, then had three drafting sessions with three packs each to finish up to sixty.
