Didn't expect the US to spike 5 times bigger than Europe. Makes me wonder if what they're showing is wealth per capita, not absolute wealth.

The professor puts the slide up on the projector in Australia Class. The students nod compliantly. I stand up defiantly, the professor glares at me and adjusts his slouch hat. "Is there a problem?" he says. "Yes, professor," says I, "Kangaroo Is Not Emu." The professor drops his glass of Victoria Bitter and storms out of the room. The students all applaud. I am made King of Australia.

Cable Guy posted:25,000 BP's.... how many Deepwater Horizons is that? Well, let's crunch the numbers! The Deepwater Horizon oil spill saw about 780,000 m³ of oil leaked into the ocean, which affected roughly 180,000 km² sea area, which is about the same size as Oklahoma. This times 25,000 means that 19.5 billion cubic metres of oil are being spilled into the sea. This is roughly equivalent to 5.25 trillion gallons of crude oil, or (if it was converted into gas) almost 17 years of the total US gas consumption. If we fill that amount of crude into literal barrels (with one barrel being defined as containing 42 gallons), each 1 metre high and stack them on top of each other, we could go the moon and back about 159 times. If we look back at Earth instead, the spill is affecting 25,000 Oklahomas or literally the entire Earth... times nine. Yes, I am bored at work, how could you tell?

25000 BP is about one hundred thousand Deepwater Horizons before present, or 830 kiloScaramuccis.

They get two senators, but since Belgium isn't real they only get counted at a 1/20th rate for population. EDIT: Golbez posted:I'm the great state of ??.
