I enjoy Black Ice more than PWRUP, although it could be trimmed down. Take Wheels/Money Made/Rockin all the Way/Big Jack off, pretty tight record. Rarely put Rock or Bust on. Least favourite record, by far.

Boys sound good. Brians voice seems stronger than in October when I saw them. Crowd still seems a little too low energy, from the videos I've seen.

Wut. Wheels/Money Made/Big Jack are the BI songs I listen to most, alongside Train and War Machine. Rocking All The Way is aight too.

Stormy May Day and Rock n Roll Dream are like the least-AC/DC songs that AC/DC ever did and for that alone I will both love and respect Black Ice (quite frankly most of the rest of the album is good too, but I think I might be Black Ice’s biggest fan)

Big improvement over Power Trip.

Different strokes, I guess. Always interesting to converse with AC/DC fans on song favorites. Non fans or casuals make the joke, hell it's in the thread title, that it all sounds the same. When your as deep as we are, that's just not the case.

Now I have to give Black Ice a couple spins to make sure I feel the same. Saw them twice on that tour. Good times.

For me, I'd rank BI tracks as:

Upper - Train, War Machine, Big Jack, Wheels, Money Made

Mid - Spoilin' For A Fight, Rocking All The Way, She Likes Rock N Roll, Black Ice

Lower - Anything Goes, Skies On Fire

Lowest - Smash N Grab, Stormy May Day, Decibel, Rock N Roll Dream

I play it the most of the post-Ballbreaker albums, but still not very often. They're sometimes catchy, but almost entirely missing the AC/DC 'gut kick'. A few SUL tracks were the last times I really felt it.

Yeah it’s funny, I’d swap some of the stuff you have in highest and lowest. I don’t care for Wheels but love Stormy May Day and Decibel.

I think Rock or Bust benefits from being short, there’s not much wasted. Emission Control is a banger of a closer track. Solid all around.

Power up is also short but as I mentioned it doesn’t do much for me on the whole. Rejection and Code Red are good ones. Shot in the Dark is okay-ish, same for Money Shot. The rest kinda blends together. Mists of Time is another one of those atypical AC/DC songs, so that’s interesting at least.

Shorter set tonight. 21 songs instead of 24.

Dog Eat Dog
Givin' the Dog a Bone
Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be

... Are the tracks they cut. Brian doesn't excel at Dog Eat Dog, and Givin' is another high register Back in Black track, so I feel that's justified. I love Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be, though.

The cuts may have been due to a local curfew. We'll see.

Oh interesting. Shorter set isn't the end of the world. If it prolongs Brian's voice, I'm for it.

Shoot to Thrill sounded great. Brian at 76 still kicking rear end.

DED/Givin/Hell Ain't were not at the first Seville show either, looking to be permanent cuts.

ATM, I'm really doubting Brian can even finish this leg of the tour. His voice is solid, if a bit winded at times. But he's blatantly having hearing issues. He's constantly looking at the teleprompter and fiddling with the knobs on his in-ear monitor pack. His vocal melodies are all over the place and he sometimes skips whole lines. It's a serious shame, because the rest of the band is cooking (Stevie's guitar is a LOT better than the ROB tour).

That is a shame. I haven't been watching whole sets. Just seeing the odd clip on Instagram.

Hopefully he can get it sorted.
