John A posted:Well, that neatly tidies up a number of plot points so you’ll never have to think about them again. Now we can concentrate on more important matters eg what a “croust” is.

John A posted:Steeple may be the only comic currently being published where the author thinks carefully about when the characters will need to eat lunch. In fantasy books, quests would often stop for a repast. In the easy-come, easy-go world of free-to-air webcomics, there’s time for these considerations.

Huh, I was sorry that the Giant Days hardcover kickstarter didn't have a tier for hardback and PDF, but it looks like the hardback tiers included PDF because I just got my links yesterday. Dang, they're about a gigabyte each.

Yeah, although SumatraPDF loads it fine, which is what people should be using on Windows. Honestly, I'm still waiting for the day we finally get to move on from PDF.

John A posted:Sir Alan Sugar or Lord Sir Alan Sugar is the founder of Amstrad, the world’s most vigorous company, the host of The Apprentice UK (catchphrase: “you are a fire!”) and a visible figure throughout my life. This comic is a very very sideways reference to the comic below, which came out around the same time the Amstrad PCW was “hot stuff”. Think of Sugar as my comic universe’s Richard Branson.

It looks like Boom! is organizing a reprint of the Not on the Test hardcovers from the Kickstarter because the material used for the new covers didn't exactly match the originals (it's smoother). I noticed the difference but didn't really care that much. Still, it's nice that Boom is putting so much effort into making sure everybody is satisfied.

John A posted:A new story begins! And I begin it with a page whose construction was not, in any sense, easy. I made a 3D model of the cottage based on a photograph then retro-fitted Mrs Clovis’ pre-existing downstairs floor into it, while making an upstairs to go over it. Then I superimposed a cross-section over the complete house, for the doll’s house effect. Then I had to actually draw it.
