I think the time era of the song is mid '80's. It was used as background music in an episode of Married with Children as, I believe, Al ran across a montage of shots of Chicago. It's most notable feature is a haunting saxophone lead that goes something like " Bah nah nah nah nah na na. Bah nah nah nah na ni ni ni nah". also, I think the word "love" may be contained in the title of the song, but not totally sure.

So I've been watching Scrubs on Netflix. I've never seen the show before and I just finished the second season. In the final scene, of the season finale, they played a song I liked, and when I went searching through the Season 2 soundtrack, I learned that they changed the song from the original version. So I was curious if anyone knew the Netflix version? The only lyrics I can make out are "..(crash me down) And I can't stand it." But that may be wrong because it's hard to understand what he's saying. It's then followed by an instrumental outro.

Okay, so there's this melody I've heard in at least a few tunes. The song the prompted me to seek it out is in "Rex Duodecim Angelus."

(The theme is in right at the beginning, begins to change at around 0:26, and is present throughout the song.)

Everyone I've talked to about it, including people in the Homestuck thread, say it sounds really familiar but can't seem to remember what the original song is.

To prove we're not all crazy, here's a song by a completely irrelevant artist
:nws: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOphGZZrE44 (for explicit lyrics)

Even after that, I've head it briefly in things like Donkey Kong or Little Big Planet. I think it may be a classical song, if that's of any help.

I don't know if this is what you were aiming for, but it sounds exactly like this part of the Stormwind theme in WoW:

I have had a music video in my head for years now and haven't been able to figure it out. it is a 90s alternative song and in the video the lead singer has just his head sticking out of the ground and there is a tarantula slowly crawling towards him. at the end of the video it slowly pans out as green blood is spreading from the singers head. any help figuring this out would be great!

Ugggh ok this is driving me nuts and I can't find it no matter what I search, it's a poppy rock song with a female vocalist and a dude rapping the lyrics. I think it's pretty popular right now, or a month or two ago. All I remember is during the verses, the female vocalist asks the dude questions and he raps back the answers, and then the chorus is just the woman singing I think. The only lyrics I have stuck in my mind: Woman: "What are you scared of?" Dude drawls back "All of these peee-ople".

Someone PLEASE know the answer to this, this song is awesome. I originally thought it was something from Trevor Jones because it sounds a lot like a couple musical bits from Labyrinth, but in reality probably every soundtrack musician was using the same kind of drum machines and synths at the time.

Hopefully this is an easy one, it's a new song, probably from the UK, guitar-based, light indie rock, sort of reminds me of Kaiser Chiefs or the Kooks. The chorus goes something like "Deb-oh-rah / you should have something something". I'm pretty sure the song is actually called "Debra" but there are too many songs called that and I can't find it.

Looking for the name of a song. I'm near certain it was written by Boards of Canada. Its entirely a flugelhorn sampled tune with some synth effects.

The feel of the song is like the theme to a kid's cartoon/tv show. It's an uplifting and heroic beat. Bought up the image of a travelling adventurer on a horse. Sounds quite different to a lot of BoC stuff though - I think its either a rare tune of theirs or possibly not one of theirs.

I've spent quite some time searching and listening to tons of tunes in my search.

I have a song in my head and I cannot identify it with google with what I *think* are the lyrics.

I can't even remember if it's a male or female singing, but I think the lyrics are "This is the last song, this is the last song, my baby's (something something)", then has some falsetto "oooohs" after it.

The description sucks, I know.

I'm trying to remember a song but I can't remember the lyrics at all, just a little about the band and the music video.

Its by a canadian band from the 1990s, and I think it was one of their only hits. I think pop is the best genre to describe it as. The lyrics were something like "get you into my bed tonight" but not that direct.

The music video has the members of the band singing out their apartment windows randomly and the camera keeps switching between their windows of this big apartment building. They also show a party going on in one of the windows and in another window there is this girl alone by herself.

Trying to identify a band,

I'm pretty sure they hit the scene about the same time as Vampire Weekend started to take off, so about 2 years ago, and I think they were also from New York.

I can't remember any specific songs, but it was a bunch of guys I'd describe as having a rock opera sound inspired by 80s synth. Kind of reminded me of Queen the way the songs had an 'epic' or dramatic feel to them.

Any guesses? I listened to a bunch of their singles before their first album release but have somehow erased everything identifiable from memory.
