A dude posted:

I work for the New England Patriots' social media team. There was a slight kerfuffle in the media recently. Some of the organization attended the White House, a photo came out showing that there were significantly less people there than in 2015, and we issued a statement that basically said "Nah there's just as many people here."

I can tell you that this directive came right from the top and was spurned by President Trump himself emailing someone high up in the organization to change it. Apparently he was incredibly offended by the idea that President Obama was more popular with the Patriots after Trump claimed to be a huge fan of the organization.

I really wish I had a funny email or something from Trump, but that's all I've got. Still pretty hilarious to me, though. Who knew being President was just a giant dick waving contest?

This could actually be true. Estimating the size of crowds is an imprecise science, and there have been times in the past, before Trump even, when the White House leaned on the crowd estimating people to get figures they liked better.

Its not great obviously, but better than not getting $1200 a month because some rich gently caress is really dumb.

Failson goon: speaking as a poor, you're doing God's work. That money does nobody any good as a number in your parents spreadsheet. A prostitute getting an extra $1,200 a month will pay that back in the economy and in every way make better use of it than your mother would.

Might I suggest upping your grift game. Do a tech startup. Scam your mother and your parents friends out of every dollar you can to build an app that does something that already exists or sell things from AliExpress on Kickstarter or something like that. Build a social network for streamers? Something stupid like that. Then you waste every dollar that comes in on drugs and prostitutes. Everybody wins.

I'm 33 years old and am about to get my GED. This isn't a "woe is me" confession, it's a happy one.

I squandered my teenage years and ended up in jail by the time I was 19. Never finished high school and spent the next 7 years in jail. Got out at 26 and everyone in my life expected me to relapse and end up back in jail or worse. But I didn't. Stayed off drugs and alcohol and away from the old vices and temptations that stole all that time from em.

Stayed out of trouble, started working fast food to build up my savings. 4 years ago I started on the track to my GED, taking classes at night and on the weekends. It took a long time, longer than it should have, but I've never been smart and being in your 30s makes learning even tougher. But I'm about to do it.

It won't improve my life financially all that much, but it's a big step for my confidence and for feeling like I'm a productive member of society. I know full well my life is never going to be normal in a lot of ways, but this makes me feel really good.

Glad to hear you're getting your life on track, congrats :)

I caught a teacher and student having sex in high school. He had after class hours if you needed trigonometry help. I went for help and he wasn't there, so I started wandering around looking for him. Found him and a student in the band room. I guess not a lot of people came for his trig help and he thought he could do stuff like this.

Anyway he gives me As for the rest of the year, which was awesome at the time but when I hit college I realized I was woefully unprepared for calculus. I didn't really care about the sex because it was consensual and I didn't feel it was my place to say anything in that case.

Anyway, fast forward to 3 weeks ago. I'm watching the news and there's a story about a local high school teacher being busted for snapchatting pics of his genitals to girls in his class. Shock of shocks, it's the same teacher. A couple buddies text me over the next few days to talk about it, since it was pretty big news in our sleepy town. Turns out he and that girl I caught him with years ago started officially dating as soon as she turned 18.

He had 2 kids from a previous relationship, both of which were less than 5 years younger than his new girlfriend. Teacher and girl got married in 2012. She was 22, he was 53. His kids were 20 and 18. Imagine being in that family.

Anyway they seemed super devoted to each other and happy, and I of course creeped on facebook and saw tons of pictures. Very few with the daughters, but it looked like this was definitely a mid-life crisis thing for the dude. Which I guess paid off, since he was banging a 22 year old. Wedding photos were pretty funny since it looked like there was almost NO family at all there. I can't imagine her family approved of it and no way his daughters were happy about it either.

He goes to trial in a few days and I'm pretty excited to watch this on TV. I realize this makes me as bad as those people who slow down for car accidents, but it has a jerry springer vibe I can't ignore. I guess it's partially my fault too?

No idea why after he somehow managed to get away with the first bunch of poo poo he'd go on continuing to send dick-pics to teenagers, honestly. I guess for some people this stuff is an addiction (see: Weiner, Anthony)

GEDgoon, do yourself a favor and speak to a lawyer about having your criminal record sealed/expunged. Depending on your jurisdiction/conviction you may be able to have it done for about $500, but that's a steal for not having to answer "yes" to a felony conviction question on an application. Some industries you'll still have to disclose it (finance, banking, lending, security/police work etc), but for the most part it's like nothing ever happened.

My son ran away from home yesterday.

I couldn't care less except for the fact that his school can report him for truancy and I can get in trouble for it.

17 years old. Thinks he's all grown up. Recently got fired from his 4th job in 18 months because he parties all night and refuses to do what his bosses tell him.

I know this makes me a bad dad, but he's my 2nd of 3 kids and nobody else has problems. First daughter is about to finish college with a degree in Bio-medical engineering. Already has a job lined up making 90k a year. Doing better than her old man ever did. So proud.

Youngest son. 14. Straight A student. 1st chair in the symphonic band and on the basketball team. Came out of the closet to me over the summer. I fully admit this was a challenge but I'm proud of him for having the guts to share that part of himself with his old fashioned father.

I raised all 3 kids the same, showed them the same love. Nurtured them all and taught them to love themselves, be proud of who they are, and work hard in life to achieve their goals. Taught them I'd be proud of them no matter what they ended up doing as long as they were happy.

Their mother was never in the picture and, I guess, my middle one takes after her in some ways. I always pushed him to stay on the straight and narrow and not end up in an early grave like his mother, but he always pushed back and seemed drawn into that lifestyle.

My confession is I still feel like a terrible father despite having 2 awesome kids, doing it all on my own, and still loving my middle son and trying to make things right for 17 years. I don't know what I'm supposed to do at this point and I'm past the point of trying to help him.

How little can their mother be in the picture if she was around long enough to have 3 kids with an age spread of 8 years?

Well, at this point if you really don't care that he's run away, tell the cops about it I guess, but keep in mind that your only parent not giving a poo poo if you've run away is the kind of thing that really justifies running away. I'm sure all this comparison to his siblings is a great help as well.

I started taking steroids a few years ago when I got really in to body building.

I've continued this process and my body looks amazing, I'm really happy with it. Between the steroids, some supplements, working out, and dieting.... I finally have a body I can be proud of.

There are a lot of side effects though and, were I not so serious about my body, I'd say it wasn't worth it.

My testicles are shot. People joke about this but it's true, and way more serious than you might think. Because I take a lot of testosterone on top of the steroids, my testicles don't produce testosterone anymore. Or very little, anyway. It's fine as long as I keep taking testosterone, though.

Acne is an issue but I can treat that with creams and pills and whatnot.

The big issue is roid rage. I get angry at the drop of a hat. I went to chipotle for lunch and they had no pork. I flipped over a table and stormed out of there, then punched my steering wheel a bunch to calm down. I barely remember doing it, it's like watching a scene in a movie. These events happen 8 or 9 times a week. I beat up my last girlfriend in a fit of rage and, to protect everyone else, vowed to never date again after that. I feel bad about it but, to be fair, she knew what she was getting in to with me and I gave her my car to apologize.

I won't have children but I'd tell them not to follow my path in life. My body is awesome but it's not worth the rage.

Yeah I don't really see what the point is of having a steroid body at all if you're not a pro athlete and you've sworn off dating (and might not be capable of having sex again anyway)

It crushed me and hosed with my self-esteem for a long time. I was chubby and wore glasses and was an introvert, and I totally believed everything he said. He told his cool friends about me and they proceeded to mock me for a few weeks, too.

A few months later was prom. One of his friends, who had mocked me, got really drunk and jumped off the balcony of the hotel we had prom at. He was driven to the hospital and died a few days later. That summer there was a big house party and the kid I asked out and a bunch of his friends were there. I wasn't invited. But it made the news because the deck of the house collapsed since too many kids were on it. Lots of broken bones but nobody killed. Except one of the kids, another who mocked me, ended up in the hospital and died after a nurse accidentally hosed up his meds and gave him something he was deathly allergic to.

2 more of his friends died over the summer in driving accidents.

Then freshman year of college, he just so happened to go to the same college as me. I was still a lonely introvert so we didn't cross paths much, but he ended up expelled because they found child porn on his computer. A few months later he hung himself at his parents' house.

My confession is I did all of that. I pushed his friend off the balcony. I was at prom and he made fun of me there, too. I got so angry and nobody was around and I did it. I didn't intend to kill him but it happened and I didn't feel shame or anything. I heard about the house party deck collapse and found out what hospital the kids were at. I planned to hurt all of them, but only had a chance to swap the meds of one kid. He called me a oval office and pushed me into the lockers, he was the meanest kid.

I caused the drunk driving "accidents". I would have caused more, and almost did, but there are only so many kids you can slip roofies to so they pass out while driving home from the local Denny's, where you work.

It is really easy to slip porn on a laptop somebody brings in to computer services. Especially when you volunteer there and you're the one who blew the whistle in the first place. And it's even easier to just call someone's house for months on end, urging them to end it all. Calling them a kid fucker and saying that it would be best for the world if they just killed themselves. Sending letters urging the same thing, mocking them for being kicked out of school.

I know I'm going to answer for this one day but I don't care, it felt good to do it. I still don't feel loved so I guess he was right in a way.

This one sounds super fake but if not way to go being a genderswapped Eliot Rodger I guess

When I was going through puberty I had a very intense sexual attraction to both my mom and female cousin. When I first started masturbating at around 13 I would fantasize about my mom lying in her bed, nightgown hiked up and pussy lips spread out waiting for me. Around this time my cousin, who was a little younger than me, was fully developed and when she would visit with her family I would 'play wrestle' with her in the hopes of 'accidentally' grabbing a boob. My cousin was very nice and friendly to me and never cottoned on to what I was trying to do to her.

I don't know why I had these incestuous feelings, but I know it definitely started when my dad let me look at a porno mag he had. I distinctively remember one spread in which a woman was posed with various taxidermied animals. Her hair and elongated hands and feet reminded me of my mom and from then on I started getting sexual feelings about my mom.

did you know: doctors who do autopsies are really stupid and can't tell the difference between alcohol in someone's bloodstream and roofies??? IT'S TRUE

I could see local cops going "welp must have just been drunk and jumped" for a kid falling off a balcony at a prom afterparty instead of actually investigating anything if they were really lazy and incompetent, but the roofie-driving thing in particular made no goddamn sense (in addition to being able to sabotage a hospital's medication order with a drug you happen to know someone is allergic to lol)

I've known people to die from falls down stairs of less than 10 feet and idiots die from falling off balconies and roofs not much higher than that all the time. In most of those cases, they struck their heads and never recovered consciousness. A fall from a 2nd floor hotel balcony onto a hard surface where you don't land on your feet or legs can be catastrophic.

Story is bullshit though. Unless you're at some podunk backwoods hospital, there's no way somebody is going to be able to switch meds as described. It's not like there's just an unsecured room with all the meds in it that people can just browse at their leisure. There's either a pharmacy or Pyxis stations on the wards where you get meds, and they don't just hand them out without orders and authorization.
