It's also completely fallen from discussion. Guess the right felt it was too generic of an action movie and maybe had one too many homoerotic scenes in it

On another note, remember to keep your website registration up to date!

quote:

Bryson and his followers have a reputation for picketing gay-friendly events on college campuses – brandishing signs damning all “unclean” homosexuals straight to hell. Statements such as “FEAR GOD” and “AMERICA: GOD HATES YOUR SIN” bark out in black, white, and red in their clutched hands. Their website, WarningsofWrath.com, is featured on all of their signs and used to direct visitors to the church’s webpage. Now, visitors to the site are treated to a giant wall of hardcore gay site. The content features skinheads involved in obscene acts and more…

The anonymous activist had this to say about his move, “They condemned gays and rock music outside Carolina Rebellion…I bought the (expired) domain from their signs and pointed it at gay porn of people who probably like rock music. Fair?”

The big protest against Muslims earlier this year didn't even register the websites. RWM blogosphere is hilarious sometimes

Also, there has been an audience for a broadly fantastic action movie at Christmas since at least Lord of the Rings. People are stressed out, primed for a little make-believe, need a family outing, and want something to make small talk about. There is room for precisely one of these a year.

World Net Daily sees the truth

quote:

Many see megastorm Jonas as a kind of signal from God, part of a long-standing pattern of corrections from the Creator of the universe for the U.S. whenever it seeks to divide the land of Israel or hurt the nation the Bible says is “the apple of His eye.”

With Jonas set to dump as much of three feet of snow on the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area over the weekend, Bill Koenig, author of the 2004 book, “Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel,” sees biblical significance in both the name of the blizzard and the timing.

“The name Jonas means ‘gift of God,’” Koenig points out. He sees an extremely strained relationship between Israel and Barack Obama’s administration as relevant to the timing and magnitude of the storm.

“Obama heralded the Iran deal Saturday, Jan. 16, from the White House as a major foreign policy achievement, which now releases billions of dollars to the number one state sponsor of terror in the world and Israel’s greatest threat,” Koenig told WND.

“When we put pressure on Israel to divide their land, we have enormous, record-setting events, often within 24 hours,” Koenig told WND. “Hurricane Katrina, 9/11 – we have experienced over 90 record-setting, all-time events as we have acted against Israel. And the greater the pressure on Israel to ‘cooperate,’ the greater the catastrophe.”

The only credibility as an independent that he probably has is with other closeted republicans or uninformed types who don't know much about politics in general. Everyone else would typically already know that most people who consider themselves independents but seem to consistently find themselves agreeing with conservatives are just conservatives who almost certainly vote republican on a regular basis but are weird about admitting it for some reason (or they just don't vote, even though they agree with GOP members more than they do with Democrats.)

Every election there are people who swear up and down both parties are lovely and then after whatever rants they have are over, and voting time nears, they suddenly find themselves unable to refrain from backing the GOP candidates.

I mean there would be one easy way to prove his independence, and that would be to find his cutting blog posts that are as critical of conservatives and the GOP has he has been of liberals and the left. But I have only ever seen him go viral when he is expressing right winged views so...

But how does this manifest? Are they feeling ashamed or do they feel persecuted? I feel that from what i have seen from other RW celebs, they tend to gravitate more toward feeling persecuted. What's hilarious is that this only happens to them when they start spouting racist, sexist, homophobic, or classist bullshit, or in other words, aggressively establishing themselves as assholes. They want to come off as intelligent, but they don't understand how associating themselves with politics that are, at this very moment, fighting to deny people civil rights, is not equivalent to supporting higher min wage, higher taxes on the wealthy, public services, or environmental causes.

This one comes to mind as a good example:

quote:

Patricia Heaton had a lot to say about the raging birth control debate in Washington last week, until she had nothing to say at all.

One of Hollywood's outspoken Republicans, the star of ABC's The Middle sent a series of blistering messages aimed at Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown student who was denied the right to testify before Congress and then became the target of Rush Limbaugh's flurry of mysognistic name-calling.

Heaton mocked Fluke with sarcastic remarks such as "G-Gal: you’ve given yer folks great gift for Mother’s/Father’s Day! Got up in front of whole world & said I’m having tons of sex- pay 4 it!" and "Hey G-Town: stop buying toothpaste, soap, and shampoo! You'll save money, and no one will want to sleep with you!"

She also retweeted messages from fans, including one that referenced the between-the-knees contraception joke made by one of GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum's top surrogates.

Heaton later apologized for her tweets, writing, "Just caught up on all the debater re Ms. Fluke's testimony. Mea culpa! We have diff opinions but I was too flippant in my attempt at humor," then adding, "Tweatons: Finally heard all the commentary. I crossed the line w/@SandraFluke. Don't agree w/her views, but I was not showing Christ's love." She tweeted to Fluke, saying, "@SandraFluke I am not backing down on my position: but there is a better way to fight the fight."

The actress then deleted her account, which has since been brought back.
