When I moved into my current house out in the country, I let my then wife park her car in the only spot in the garage. While the house had been taken care of, it hadn�t been lived in for 20 years before we moved in and apparently some mice had taken refuge in the garage during the winter months. At the time we also stored a bag of dry dog food in the garage. A few months in, I serviced her car, and while checking the air filter, I discovered several cups of dog food stashed in the filter box. The mice had been using it to store food. It was kinda funny, but we got a couple of barn cats after that and the mouse problem went away.
