Yes. I bought one on Amazon for $40 and it works with any USB gamepad or keyboard, plays tons of retro and emulated games all the way up to PS1, lets you browse the internet, and even plays movies and other media files.

Oh wait, that was a Raspberry Pi I bought.

That house doesn't have any themed rooms.

Somewhere between a footnote and an epilogue: Atari has acquired the Intellivision brand, the rights to Intellivision's 200+ game portfolio... basically everything except the Amico, which will have to rebrand (although they'll still have permission to use the games).

Lol. Also lmao and rofl. I wonder how much of the Intellivision is playable without their weird keypad controllers. I imagine a decent chunk, right?

That's cool, we might be looking at an Intellivision Museum on Steam like they did for the Atari stuff.

Yeah, very few games use the whole thing and modern controllers have a poo poo ton of buttons anyhow. 4 face buttons, d-pad, 2 shoulder, 2 triggers and that's 12 buttons already, so enough for the 2 Intellivision buttons and 10 for the keyboard. And you still have select/start.

it's debatle how 'playable' they are even with a real intellivision controller. some can be remapped relatively easily, but others cannot, and even those that can be often control like dog poo poo because they were built with that stupid control disc thing in mind.

Digital Eclipse's boss is quoted in the press release, so I'd be shocked if they're not elbowing some room into their schedule as we speak.

If DE do do a compilation, they have a great history of bending games designed for keyboards or more esoteric control schemes into playing nice on a modern console gamepad.

Ok, assuming we get an Atari 50 style compilation, how can we convince Tommy to sue Valve on the grounds that the Steam Deck is obviously an Amico ripoff?

Atari, please release an emulator that plays the entire intellivision library on Steam. This was my first ever console and these games are actually kinda special to me.

Chances are Atari just sits on these games and lets them rot lol.

I dunno, Atari have got good at milking their own IP for all it's worth, I'm sure they can wring something out of their former competition's back catalog.

That's great news, Atari 50 was excellent and my dad would go nuts for such a thing now that I bought him a Switch.

Yeah same here. Unfortunately some of the games I really love like Tron Deadly Discs would probably be locked behind licensing hell.
