I think the line of thinking is that it's better to have the textures and not need them in case a graphical fuckup or something reveals an angle that wasn't intended so that you don't have a glitched or incomplete character model showing, but I could be way off on that. The Sims certainly doesn't do that, but that game also has a censor removal option built into it.

Are people really playing these bigger PC game title mobile versions and spending real money on in game microtransactions? Or are they just working off the assumption that "the real money to be made is in mobile gaming right now" and just running with that hoping it'll work? Like for example I remember in recent years they made a mobile version of Dungeon Keeper, complete with microtransactions. Did that do well?
