"relied on" is definitely lawyerspeak for being able to say when all of the russian funds he took become public, that he didn't "rely" on them
It's great too because it's exactly the sort of weasel speak that will immediately leap off the page for any attorney, which he sent off to a giant chamber full of lawyers and lawyers who work for other lawyers.

The universe of things these people cannot affirmatively say speaks so loudly

i dont think anyone should be super confident heading into tommorows mtp vote, but I think that it's more likely to fail than not fail (and not just because of mccain not showing up)

there seems to be no real indication that they have the votes and the complete chaos of what on earth they're voting for says to me they can't settle on anything that gets them enough votes, and i cant see it being a compelling story to the waverers that they should walk the plank and that it won't get sawed off behind them

It would be super stressful, and everyone would probably need to ignore Covok for their own sanity (I only see replies to him anymore), but the timeline that would be most damaging to the GOP would be the one where MTP succeeds tomorrow, and then they burn a week and a half flailing around, trying and repeatedly failing to find a bill that can get to 50.

No, I remember a press release saying that they operated on the tumor when they found it and removed a bunch of it.

No reason to risk anesthetics, shock etc hurting McCain on a second surgery when he was awake and able to consent on that one and the tumor was nearby

do you have a link? I wouldn't think they could get the tumor identified quickly enough to begin surgery when it was just discovered while pulling out the clot.

It says the "concerned tissue was removed." So it could mean the cancer (they did an MRI before hand and found it then) or it might have just meant the clot. Wording is not great in the story

iirc the governor of AZ is a conservative shitlord but isn't exactly thrilled at the bill (much like most governors, who have to deal with the funding cuts and impact to their states) so that's not guaranteed
