SlothfulCobra posted:I'm not really convinced it's solid. It might have a slightly solid layer of cheese but it looked like it was still boiling. I mean yeah, warm sprite with an assload of dissolved sugar in it with some cheese might taste decent, but it's not a pie just because you pour it in a pie crust. If you tried to slice it you'd just be left with a soggy pie crust and a mess.

SlothfulCobra posted:I feel like with liquid-filled meals like that, maybe it's a lot better eating bit by bit starting with the top so at most there's only ever a slow leak and you can constantly mix the filling and package material. I can understand it *in theory* for a dish that you want to be sitting in a sauce on a serving plate, but the visual on these is always just so unpleasant. Also the way the knife struggled to get through that top layer makes me think it’s just going to be thick and pasty and cloying sweet.

Huh, apparently it's basically a real Depression era dish called water pie and he just replaced the water with Sprite. They come out of the oven kind of watery but then you refrigerate it and the liquid sort of sets.

Just sitting here getting mad as the guy scoops up spoonful after heaping spoonful of the first thing before trying the second thing. Using biscuits as a palate cleanser between the two seemed like a good idea, but then he shoves in one more spoonful of the first before trying the second. I'd love to see this guy at a wine tasting though. Just sitting there getting completely sloshed as he chugs the wine.

peanut butter is great on a burger, this place used to make PB and cream cheese burgers with a bacon jelly, extremely rich but very tasty.

The problem is that it’s just a Whopper with Hershey’s Syrup and melted skippy on it. Complete with the raw onion, judging by the ads I’ve seen online of it. Raw onion does not particularly go well with Hershey’s vomchoc. And that’s before thinking about the fact that Burger King burgers don’t go too well with people who have working taste buds.

With the approaching of Christmas there is one thing in the UK we all start to think about, Giant Pigs in blankets. Aldi have knocked it out of the park this year with this 6ft 5in beaut! It lacks a little of the showiness of the 2ft battered pig in blanket from last year but I think you will agree we would all like to see one of these coiled around the Christmas tree like a prolapsed python.
