Dancer posted:So... This is an awesome song that my former dance school used to play for the rumba. I've already asked 3 different internet forums throughout the years with no luck, and I don't expect anyone here to know if but it would be *so* amazing if someone did. A long shot here, but those lyrics put me in mind of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97p6gQnlO5Y

What's the name of that band with the plane on the cover? It was red in color the background and it looked kind of like a 747 in the corner... it was post-rock I guess I used to listen to them all the time but the name escapes me now...

In a Halloween store the other day I heard a song I've been trying to figure out what it was. It was a breezy pop song with a female singer that sounded like it could have been from the 80s, but it could be newer. Part of the lyrics from the chorus were "I want to laugh / I want to be together" but that's all I can remember. I've tried google for those lyrics but it isn't helping.

I know for a fact it was a style of post rock. If it helps there was also no voices as far as I can remember....Just electronic instruments (but not electronic the genre). It wasn't drony or like shoegaze or anything, for the most part it was kind of upbeat.

I can't remember the name of this song. It's an instrumental with the main section being a drum line with down beats on the 1, 6, and 8 and a string section with a perpetual A | B | B flat | C rotation. I'm pretty sure Toonami used it once.

If anyone also listens to WXPN in Pennsylvania around 5:00PM, Dan reid played a song on Thursday, closer to 6:00PM, called "She Don't Mind" by some English dude. That song was awesome. It was all about the impossibly amazing things the singer's squeeze was doing while at the same time she didn't mind the "Oooh, ooh, Oooh" or the "Guitar." Any help identifying this track would be amazing.

I'm probably wrong but the first few notes sound like the chorus to Vashti Bunyan's "Diamond Day" sped up. She worked with Animal Collective a few years ago so it's not too obscure at this point. Ring a bell?

Don't know if this has been answered, but what was linked sounds somewhat like Beethoven's 7th Symphony, 2nd movement.

This isn't so much identifying a song as it is identifying a musician. There was this YouTube video posted in (I think) one of the YouTube cover threads. The guy was playing a live show and he was covering Wagon Wheel. The guy was really fat, had long hair, has an album or two out, and was sitting down performing this song while rocking the gently caress out and head banging while playing his acoustic guitar. I've searched for the thread and tried combing through the billions of Wagon Wheel covers with no luck. I even had the dude's album (Which was fantastic) at one point, but I can't find it and don't remember his name. Edit: I post, then immediately find it. After hours of searching. Anyway, for anyone interested, it's Matt Anderson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAFrMLMiBfg - Wagon Wheel Several Goblins fucked around with this message at 10:38 on Oct 25, 2011 |

Not much to go on here, but I heard a song on an an indie rock radio driving someplace and maybe someone can help me out. Female, distorted vocals. Heavy synth, part of it wasn't in English for sure, sounded like Spanish. Basically sounded like a track on Neon Indian's new album, if he were a girl. To clarify, the vocals were so high-pitched distorted that I can't recollect any of them from memory to type into google, so it could have been a male I suppose. Think Sleep Over/Neon Indian combination, + Spanish(?) influence. That's all I've got, I would appreciate any leads. vvv not quite as ambient, maybe sleep over was a bad comparison. I appreciate the suggestion though, diggin' this artist. EpicHero fucked around with this message at 06:52 on Oct 27, 2011 |

In the season 2 Parks and Recreation episode "The Master Plan" there's a club banger sort of song playing when Leslie tells off Ben around eighteen and a half minutes in. The chorus sounds like "I fall down, I fall down, I get up, I get up, I don't quit, I don't quit, there he go, there he go" or something to that effect. Any ideas?

I've been searching for this band/song for years, so hopefully someone can help me out here. Maybe 5 years ago a friend of mine played a trippy music video (official video) that started with a what I believe was a Japanese girl dancing the robot. There was a ton of jittery repeat cuts that made her look like a broken record. I think the music was some type of electronic/dance/psychodelic music. Anyone?
