mister cat is home from cat hospital. he's doing so much better and also he ate last night after we left. he's still got 2 weeks left on the time-release cortisone shot so my gf is going to keep a close eye on him. the vet said its some sort of heart condition but i dont believe that poo poo for a second. he was bombarded by vaccines and poo poo his last vet visit and he's always been fine until after that incident.

So there are a bunch of outdoor/stray cats in my neighborhood, and one skinny guy in particular I have caught peering in my bedroom window a few times, mostly at like 6am. The past few days I have been feeding him, and he's either been sleeping in my yard or hanging out on the deck. Today around noon I heard him yelling, and headed out to the deck to pet him, but stopped when I saw all my cats  at the top of the stairs... little dude had somehow gotten inside. He somehow jumped 3 feet from the deck railing to a windowsill with security bars over it, ignoring a 20+ foot drop, to squeeze through a 4-inch gap in an open window and come inside and yell at me for pets.  I really don't need a 5th catte.

I had to bring my old childhood cat Toby to the vet today to get put to sleep. He was 16 and had pretty bad kidney issues. Hadn't eaten for 4 days and didn't want to get out of bed this morning (also due to arthritis in his hips which gets worse now that it's fall) I held him as he was put under and he was gently purring the entire time.
