Has anyone ever tried to use Apple's education discount after graduating? I'm about a year out but I still have the bank balance of a student...

Anyone know what kind of pepper this is? The quarter next to it is for size reference. They stayed green for about a month until I finally decided to pick them, as it looks like they weren't going to change color. I thought they might be habenaros, but I didn't realize some types stayed green. When I bought the plant, it was labeled as "Jalepenos".

The in-store people can be really cool if you do some minor convincing that you're a student. I didn't have a student ID and the girl applied the discount for me when I showed her that I could log into my school's student area online. If you still have an email account that you can access from the school or something you might be able to do the same.

Not going into detail to avoid a drawn out post. I mix drinks with 95% grain everclear, usually in sweet tea. My roommate took the bottle somewhere and I put a bit into this tupperware type container. I've read nothing should really break down that fast, but my drink I just made tastes typical plus a distinct dirty dish/pasta sauce taste. I'm guessing the high proof alcohol leeched out some of those flavors that have been in that bowl. It's still probably safe to drink though right? It's only been in the container 2 or so days and was refrigerated and the container was clean.

I worked at the Apple store for a little over a year and I gave the student discount to anyone who asked for it, (and people who were nice regardless) I know a lot of people who worked there did the same. My manager allowed us to give the student discount to someone if they could log into their student email, which pretty much anyone can for years and years after they graduate. Also, the Apple store has the most liberal policies in the history of retail. I have seen people return broken used Macbook's just because they threw a fit in the store.

Yeah it's 95%. It even has big flame warning on the bottle. With all the alcohol regulations I'm surprised it's even legal to sell. It is mixed with sweet tea about 20/80. I'm pretty sure the bowl was sterile, it just was stained orange from pasta sauce over the years and my drink tastes heavily of a dishrag now. I still want to drink it.

I've never owned a cellphone, and one is not in my near future. However, I need to text someone. Can someone recommend a site to lookup what provider the number belongs to and a site to actually send the text? And, is it actually free to do this? I don't want to add to her bill. I know how to use google. For one, I tried several different lookup sites and I keep getting different providers for the same number. And there are a lot of free online text messaging sites, and all the ones I tried had a lot of ads to click through before sending the message with no way to verify if it had been sent (most of them gave me an email saying it couldn't be sent, I'm guessing I have the wrong provider)

Why can't you call them? If they don't have a texting plan (which is unlikely, but possible), it'll charge them 5 or 10 cents to get your message. I know on AIM you used to be able to send an IM to a US phone number by IMing their number as "+1xxxxxxxxxx" sub in their area code and actual phone number

I think Google Chat might let you send an SMS to a phone number. I haven't tried it for texting myself but it's worth a look.

Maybe try Google Voice? I don't know how restrictive the sign-up is anymore, but you can send/recieve texts through that too. Edit: If they're not on a texting plan, they're going to get charged no matter what method you use, probably something like $0.20. If they are, you're going to be burning up one of their texts.

Thanks for the google chat suggestion, it lead me to finding Google SMS using gmail. All the free online text websites asked for the provider so I thought that was necessary, but gmail doesn't ask for it. But now I am thinking I should just call so I don't piss off a half dozen people sending texts to the wrong number (a lady girl gave me her number and I didn't have a pen so I had to commit it to memory and several glasses of Jameson jumbled up the last four digits.)

After a weekend away from work, my small wheatgrass plant is looking a little rough. I watered it, and am hoping it'll be spry again by the end of the day, but I was worried about overwatering - how can I tell if I'm at or near the cusp of drowning my poor plant?

I'm going to be looking for a second job soon. All my current experience is in retail, but I have two years of old administrative work (secretary, file clerk, office bitch work - essentially). Chances are, though, I'll be applying mostly for customer service work. In regards to craigslist ad's that have no business name/contact info, how safe is it to email my resume to those ads? Anyone can put up a fake job listing, can't they? I'll still be personally papering my area with my resume/applications, but I wondered about that. e: example for clarity? quote:This is a part time position, (20 hours per week), with a great established company! Thats an entire ad for a admin/office position. ladyweapon fucked around with this message at 15:22 on May 23, 2011 |

I would say for an ad with so little information that it would be perfectly fine to email a set of questions about the position before you send your information. Those hours kinda suck to. You are working part time but every weekday and right in the productive time. And what sort of company only needs a 4 hour a day.... whatever the hell they want.

And if someone asks, "Why censor the dick if you can show the rear end," it gives them the ability to show it off before the penis actually makes its appearance on screen and, importantly, after the penis is done. One possibility, if the penis wasn't censored, is that you were watching a video created for the Japanese market but released uncensored internationally. I don't know if this is at all common, though.

I'm not sure if anyone here would have an answer, but here goes. I need "Check in Here with Foursquare" window clings or stickers for my businesses. I know you can get them for free through Foursquare business but it took me four months to get three of them so far and I need another five still. Does anyone know where to buy them? I searched around and can't find anything, not even on eBay.

I have a small question that I guess can go here. Has anyone ever worked for Apple as an AOS Blended Agent? Sounds clandestine but it basically means an Apple Online Store customer service rep. I have an interview coming up in a few days for this and I just wanted to see if anyone might know something or can point me towards the correct thread for such a question. I tried Google but there is surprisingly little actually about the job, just postings for it.

Is there a running app that lets you set target goals, then breaks down the steps to that goal over a set period of days? Something like, target is running 2 miles at a certain speed after a month, and on day 1 you walk for half an hour.

Does the pot have good drainage? Are there holes in the bottom of the pot? If so, check the saucer underneath to make sure it isnt full of water. If there is no drainage in the pot, grab a knife and run the blade straight down the inside lip of the pot and push towards the center a few cm. Look to see if there is water that pools in the bottom of the pot. Pour out any pooled water.

I'm all up in here with stupid questions. Anyone have legit sources about salon tanning or know what thread to post in about it? Skin care thread seems most appropriate but its more cleaning if the skin. Mostly, what I want is A) not a t-shirt tan and B) stop my skin from going to crispy automatically. I burn super easy, do i need a higher spf sunscreen?
