I'm going to take that as a request and investigate this far more than a reasonable person should because I got nothin better to do. The difference is they are about 10 times smaller than gifs. In that respect you could make them at a higher quality if you wanted to. Not sure if your program gives you control of the framerate, but 30 FPS would have been really good for KO's ridiculously beautiful superkick. Whatever you're making with has a frame delay of "0," which for some reason ends up being the same as a frame delay of .1, which is 10 FPS. Thanks WM, if the size difference is that big then I'll probably just make bigger gifs now (I always try to keep the filesize down) and then change them to gifv. The color-loss is disappointing but I figure we can live with that.

Gfy doesn't seem to have the gifv pseudo format that imgur offers which gives you both the webm and mp4 so your browser can choose which one it can play. You can embed the .mp4 in the same way you embedded the webm, but it looks like the quality (and size) is lower. It does look like gfy won't change the framerate like imgur did. Thanks, I'll keep experimenting - these were pretty much directly exported from Virtualdub rather than going through my usual 2-step process, so i didn't have the finer control I normally do. Once I find the right balance between size and quality it's just a matter of streamlining the process.
