America has tasty food because American cooks have no food shame. Dip it in chocolate, throw it in the deep fryer and then serve it in a loving pie with melted cheese on top. I once looked up omelette recipes and I saw an American video and the guy made a regular omelette and then threw in a fist of shredded cheese and then rolled it up like a loving cheese burrito as if this was something he made for breakfast every day.

A very vocal anti-racist group formed to fight them, their leader ended up having his house firebombed and bricks through his windows more than once. I see people wearing big white pride symbol t-shirts on the bus. One woman wished me a good day on the bus with all sorts of white pride and rebel flag garbage attached to her scooter when I walked past her but I just ignored her.

As I've said before, unless you are a child, ignorance about the rebel flag is no excuse. I am a Southernor. I have been to lots of reenactments (as a kid, before they brought in non-reenactment stuff like loving mud wrestling) I took classes specifically about that war. It was about rich white fuckers wanting free labor. It was always about race, it was always driven by the rich. The flag should be treated like the swastika. A symbol of hate, as that's what it's become. It was never anything else, really, despite the fairy tales Southern kids are told. I'm not bitter about being lied to, why do you ask? The real lesson of the American Civil War is not just that white people will always be terrible, it's that you should never, ever loving trust the rich. With anything. If it's the video I'm thinking of, the problem was that they were putting garlic in carbonara. Which may taste fine, but is definitely not traditional. I gather that Italian chefs see carbonara as interesting specifically because it has a very limited and fixed ingredient list, and putting anything else in there smacks of missing the point entirely.
