A funny thing about them actually debuting Flamethrower today is that Lucas posted an Instagram story showing he was relearning the song on bass by watching a Youtube video of someone playing it 8 hours before the show

Next album is gonna be so good, wonder if they'll release it between Europe and US tours?

Most predictions I'm seeing are releasing it right before the US tour starts so it doesn't conflict with the release of the Gum/Ambrose album. I'm expecting the first singles to hit in July.

They opened yesterday's Berlin show with live debuts of both Extinction and Gondii, in the form of a crazy half hour synth jam. Glad they're finally busting some of that stuff out, too, was starting to worry they were just going to skip right to playing the next album stuff instead.

Of course they break out the electronic stuff in Germany.

I'll be at the London show this weekend. Not sure what their festival sets are like but should be fun.

Honestly, there's no telling. They don't really normie up the setlist for festivals or anything

They played Silver Cord at the Hamburg marathon show today for about 27 minutes.

Woo! Just came back from seeing Berlin and Hamburg shows. Berlin was absolutely amazing from start to finish, with an incredible setlist and crazy energy in audience. Also went to some kind of gizz meet-up beforehand and chatted to a bunch of other nerds, which was great.

Hamburg show was great also but did not enjoy it as much due to standing outside in the rain for 6 hours, also volume was a bit low. Stus vocals were on point though and they showed off some new stuff. Also lined up for merch market and got a poster and tote bag.

All in all A+ would fly to Germany again.

Yeah the Stadtpark Open Air had some trouble with noise complaints (still no idea from whom because it's literally in a huge park) so now they are super strict with volume, and there's literally some city official present for all shows to constantly check the volume. It used to be a great open air venue but I've stopped going there entirely because it's just not enjoyable often times, at least for rock shows. Still debated going because it's King Gizzard but ultimately decided against it. Glad to hear you had fun though!

Had a hell of a time at the Amsterdam concert yesterday. Just really good vibes, and some of the most fun I had in a moshpit in ages.

Crowd went absolutely manic during Gilla Monster, loving incredible. And Road Train! Vomit Coffin and Murder of the Universe!

Crumbling Castles!

Also I'm not as into The Silver Chord as much as I'm into PetroDragonic Apocalypse, but this gave me a whole new appreciation for some of the songs on there. Mixing them in with the rest of the setlist made it click for me, because now you're listening to it in parallel. Felt like when you first discover what fun stuff the shuffle button can do in Nonagon Infinity!

Also, and this cannot be said enough: the vibes were just so cool and chill. It's weird, but it feels like the crowd at KGLW is just a bit more warm and accepting than most?

loving loved it!
