Marlins catcher was just ejected after all 4 umpires missed the Giants batter not being ready at the 8 second mark and then the home plate ump also didn't call time when the catcher asked for it as the clock ran out. What a bizarre sequence of events.

The batter was not in the box and ready at the 8 second mark so it should have been called a strike per the new pitch clock rules. Stallings the Marlins catcher tried to point this out to the ump but as time kept running out he threw his hands up to call time so the pitcher didn't get callled for a pitch clock violation which the ump also failed to grant and the batter was awarded 1st base on the violation. The umps then all gathered to discuss what happened but apparently all of them missed that.
