had a prescription at amazon pharmacy held up the last couple weeks because as it turns out the records my doc sent with the rx had "Sex: F" on them but amazon had "Sex at Birth: M" and so they refused to fill it. thanks amazon, needed that invalidation there of course the site just said 'prescription transfer in progress' so i didn't even know anything was wrong until i ran out last night so i guess the lesson here is, Ciaphas fucked around with this message at 02:29 on Aug 23, 2023 |

I’m sorry about the wait though, that sucks a lot. once I knew for sure what was up i was rly antsy and nail biting going through the hoops and waiting the clock out when I was seeking hrt it took me about ~6 months or so from when I started the process. the doc I had at the time needed a letter from a psych to feel comfortable prescribing to me, and then made me see an endocrinologist who wrote my first script. after that I’ve just gone through normal doctors or nurses tho. if I started the process a year earlier I coulda got it done faster and with fewer steps at this youth place that did informed consent but i aged out of it

if for some reason you can’t wait sometimes docs will continue your care if you start via DIY by like, feeling obliged to given the risks of stopping once started (an ex would stockpile extra hrt to be able to give to people in need, including new transes to start this way). but in other places they may just not work with you, threatening the legitimate route. I’d prolly just wait tho

I would notice if my progesterone went missing cuz I have to pay $2 a pill for the micronized stuff, wheras the other stuff is free
