Oh the wording is funny, I just realized you can't stack two -1/-1 counters on a single creature. It was a lot better when I thought it was 2 mana Splendid Agony.

That's a rough way to lose the final game of a GP semifinals match: Lands player plays Mox Diamond, plays Gamble, gets Dark Depths. His hand is Depths, Stage, Stage, Ghost Quarter and Horizon Canopy. He discarded Depths - if he discards anything else, he would be able to play Stage, draw a second Mox Diamond, and get a turn two Marit Lage and almost certainly win. Instead he discards Depths and his opponent flips a Delver, revealing Surgical Extraction to take out the Depths. Losing to your own Gamble at GP Vegas is a pretty good story though.
