Clarste posted:Tokiko was a fan name for a minor character, like Koakuma and Daiyousei, since she appeared early enough that people were still trying to turn everyone they could into a character. Unlike now, where Meth Addict-dono will probably remain unnamed and forgotten. He doesn't exactly have the same presence that the fat snake, Nosferatu, or Marisa's BFF the divine serpent dragon had. At least getting addicted to crystal butterfly gave him eyes, unlike every other nameless background character. Remilia's hobgoblin servants and pet chupacabre will also always have a place in my heart. Come to think of it, most of those appeared in Forbidden Scrollery. Aside from the soldier kappas and the old fisher man in WaHH it feels like most non-FS manga almost exclusively focus on pre-existing Touhou characters. Dunno if it's because FS has a different focus by virtue of being set in the human village or because FS is extremely my poo poo and therefore left a stronger impression than the other mangas. fake-edit: Marisa/Dragon OTP

Of course, who could ever forget the two random ladies from the PMiSS article about the Human Village? Actually, I think they have a danbooru tag.

On another note, that Sealing Club anime finally got released even though it has no subs as of yet and no voice acting. I enjoyed it though, so I thought i'd post it anyway. Mostly because it features the sealing club prominently and they are very cool and I liked the whole idea of the project a lot, even if my friend Suika gets beat up by an OC. At the very least it looks to be more interesting than most other fanimes and I like that they remember Renko and Merry are from the future.

Some person on the Shrine Maiden forums figured out text insertion for FMW3, so we're working on getting that up again. Go to #touhou on synIRC if you want to help out. Please read the style guide, I don't want to spend another week revising the entire script.
