A while back I saw a movie trailer for movie about clones on some kind of compound. From the trailer it seemed like a love story about the clones. At some point they get picked to donate their organs to some rich people. But this couple escapes or something? Does anyone know what movie I'm talking about? vvv - That seems very similar, but the movie I'm talking about seemed a lot more low key/not an action movie. I actually saw The Island though and yea it really does sound like it. The one I'm talking about had younger clones, and they were kept in a building that was like an old school or brick type movie. It told a story of this small village where most of the people were farmers, and are scared shitless of some monster that apparently lurks outside their village from time to time and was able to possess some of the villagers iirc. Really hazy on the details, parents only let me watch half of it. I didnt even get to see the monster, I have no idea if they showed it or not. Remember a lot of scared farmers though. The time period is wrong but it sounds vaguely like The Village by M Night Shaymalan - which was 2004.

Yeah It's kind of similar in plot I guess but there was only one monster. I know this is reeeally vague, it was probably 14years ago, and I did not even see the whole film.

The Island is also pretty much the plot from Parts: The Clonus Horror which was on MST3K, if anyone thinks that sounded familiar but was still unsure of the suggested titles.

Got a friend driving herself mental trying to remember a film she saw in the cinema last year. Only thing she can remember is that it involved a female marine or something who becomes a hitman/assassin. Ringing a bell with anyone? Knowing my friend it probably wasn't a very good film... edit: Found it, Haywire. Holistic Detective fucked around with this message at 12:37 on Feb 5, 2013 |

Do you remember what any of the characters look like? There's a ton of mid-seventies schlock movies with a very similar premise. Touch of Satan and Ghosts That Still Walk come to mind, maybe even Eyes of Fire but they're probably too old.

Some years ago I watched a movie on TV. For some reason it suddenly popped into my brain. There was a young man who goes into a police station and starts confessing about his life with his crazy father who is a serial killer. The dad thinks that some people are demons and he is chosen to kill them with some special axe. He let's his two sons (who are only children) help with catching the "demons". IIRC it turns out that the dad was right and that whole confession thing was just a ruse to kill the police detective, who is a demon.

In late '98 I saw an action movie about a man (possibly a cop) with anger management issues who gets tangled in some heist and ends up killing a lot of people. The movie opens with a bank getting robbed. The angry lead unintentionally foils the heist by beating the piss out of the getaway driver who has boxed him in with his vehicle, forcing the robbers to flee on foot. One of the thieves was asian and dies in a public bathroom with a silver briefcase after being shot. Lots of violence happens, including a gigantic shootout in a club and another one in a house on some isolated property. During this gunfight I remember guys on opposite sides of a wall shooting at each other, one of which with a grenade launcher. After everybody is killed the main actor drives away in a jeep with his daughter as the credits roll. This one has stumped me for years in part because I could have sworn Bruce Willis was in it, but I can't find anything like that in IMDB/Wikipedia/etc. It is very close to being the worst film I have seen, and not remembering the name prevents me from sharing its shittiness with other people. Another terrible "horror" movie (thought it was called 'surge', but can't find anything with that name) built its shaky plot upon the premise that power companies were delivering wild or unregulated electricity that would gently caress up anything with a circuit board, possibly causing it to turn against you. There's a scene where a tinfoilhat washer repairman delivers the cryptic warning about those dastardly power companies. Later on the rogue electricity causes all the hot water to turn on while some chick is in the shower causing her to pass out and receive severe burns. Dad tries to escape the house with kids, without success. The house then somehow catches on fire. After making it out a window, dad takes an axe to the nearest utility pole, cutting it down and then watching it fall on his house. I think he gets arrested for this and then the movie ends. Thanks, internet!

There is this movie I'm looking for, but I only remember the ending. The ending has what appears to be the good guy laying on the floor with this evil dude standing above him and seconds away from shooting him. Then the good guy uses this contraption to get a gun out of his sleeve (a small gun at that) and shoots the evil guy, which causes him to explode. Immediately the scene freezes and says something along the lines of "Good guy realized what he did was wrong and turned himself in to the police and everyone lived happily ever after." and the credits roll. It seems like a 80s movie.

This is on the building of a roof in Sofia, Bulgaria. They tell me an American movie was filmed here. Any ideas which one? Someone in A/T pointed out that the lettering looks like 20's lettering and that setting it in Boston could mean it's a movie about the Irish mob. Thanks!

Here’s one - I believe it might have been a made-for-TV movie. The computer that handles the computation of television ratings develops a glitch. The other networks are wondering why this one show keeps pulling in incredibly high ratings when it seems like no one is watching it. In order to try to beat this show, one network airs a night of programming that includes bullfighting, hardcore porn, and a live execution. And they still lose. I know for sure it’s not The Ratings Game with Danny DeVito. In that one, he hires truckers to break into the houses of Neilsen families and watch the sitcom he produced rather than stuff like boxing and the World Series. This one centered around a computer error.

So there's a movie I saw once as a kid and nobody believes exists when I try and explain it to them. It was a cheesy action movie about some lone agent guy trying to hunt down a terrorist in America who has created a water that turns you into a bomb when you drink it (bombs are a big theme in the movie). I remember the movie begins and ends with him defusing a bomb somebody had left in his car while he was in a bar, then he gets recruited to hunt water-bomb man. At some point there's a clown entertaining some kids next to a fountain and the hero realises that the clown had drunk water from the fountain but the water was BOMB WATER(!!), so the clown starts going into a berserker fit and the cop kicks him into the fountain. Then the clown explodes. At the final showdown in some attic the villain decides to drink a lot of the water bomb and take hero and love interest with him, but hero tackles him out of the window! Villain gets impaled on a gate and hero just breaks his arm or something. Villain does not explode for some reason. The End. I have no intention of ever rewatching this movie and I've never met anyone that I know of who's even aware of it, but I just need to know its name.

There's a movie that I wish to visit revenge upon, but I need to ID it first. I believe it was a horror film of some kind, late 80's to early 90's. One of the first scenes of the movie involves a young boy sitting in the kitchen, doing homework or eating breakfast, or some other such kitchen activity. His mom walks into the kitchen fresh out of the shower, so dripping wet and wearing a towel. She goes to start the coffee maker and is electrocuted...somehow. I saw this movie when I was young, and even then, I thought it was bullshit. But that didn't stop it from freaking me the hell out. So I was even more wary of water and electricity than I probably needed to be. EDIT: So, it turns out that google is kind of awesome and the phrase "mom electrocuted by coffee maker" turns up The Believers Jesus, a Voodoo cult, in 1987 New York, and they aren't after Bernie's treasure? This has god awful written all over it.

All I remember of it is that there's these two guys one skinny one fat playing mortal kombat and are on drugs. While they are playing the game the fat guy gets freaked out by the fatalities runs away from the game yelling he thinks he's going to be sick.

I saw this TV movie about one of the midwest states succeeding because of a wave of immigration. They close their borders and things escalate into a civil war. A lot of the movie is told through journalist reporting, and I remember liking the end when the reporter realizes that people are dying, and things have gotten out of hand, and that his job has played a large role in pushing things to this point.

I remember a scene where a man and a woman are fighting physically and it ends with the man with a knife/sword at the woman's throat so you think he won the fight. But then the camera shifts or pulls out and you see the woman also has a blade at the guy's crotch. She might raise her eyebrows or pat the knife against him, maybe I'm making that part up. Also, this is not from Blade 2.
