America is nowhere even close to electing a self-declared democratic socialist. To win in America as a Democrat, you should ideally have a progressive sheen but without question seem like a safe pair of hands to middle class liberals.

You're talking like the rise of right-wing populism is like a tide that should also raise all boats, but where's the evidence that candidates who are perceived as far to the left in a domestic political climate are having success in any developed economy?

It doesn't seem like society has nearly collapsed enough for there to be a sufficient left-wing appetite in the US. Sorry early birds.

And we never will be at this point. It's too late to save the country. I don't expect the federal government will still be standing in the next 4 years. Not as we know it today anyways.

Exactly, his history of women's rights in general is extremely bad. As in he just straight up doesn't see girls and women as human beings with agency.
