I saw a Canadian warbler a couple of days ago. Those little rascals are the size of a child's fist and migrate from the freaking Amazon to Eastern Canada every year. They weigh less than a half oz. Such dapper little yellow dudes too.

It's mind blowing and anyway I think birds are cool so I vote that we don't actually collapse the biosphere. Whose with me?

most of those detections are probably controlled since satellite fire detection can't tell whether or not fires are wild

look at the smoke plumes and air quality indicators to see where the wildfires are which seems to be in just a couple places rather than 80% of the nations

Just catching up, it seems we have hurricane-strength thunderstorms now. Very cool! This is a great addition to the weather, which IMO had gotten a little boring over the last 80,000 years.

I dunno, I don't think it's a good sign when the writers have to resort to power creep to keep things interesting for the protag.

put the turbines on drones that travel with the storms, powering themselves, and pooping out charged LION batteries in a stream

It's fine. Thundercanes are just the new move so it's going to be ridiculously overpowered for a few episodes until the bad guy (greta) starts shrugging them off and they become the new normal
