Really the best thing you can do is ignore Clancy's books and just pretend he had a hand in any of the Rainbow Six games at all past possibly the first one? I'm fairly certainly he actually helped on that one and the first Splinter Cell in some way. Fun fact: The iconic 3 green dots of the goggles on all the promotional stuff you see in Splinter Cell was only put in because the devs told Clancy that it would annoy players to no end to actually have to switch between night vision and thermal lenses individually all the time so they made impossigoggles as a gameplay compromise.

Dammit Hard, stop making games of a quality sufficient enough to prompt me to buy it for my friends!  (Seriously though, aside from the slight overkill on interior/exterior lighting you guys have done a very good job. Hard, i humbly request in the next patch that every defender be fitted with one of those retractable vest/leash things that stops kids from running away to far from their parents. I think i know better than our roamers when they should come back to the objective and i should be able to just pull them back by force to help defend. Hint:It's should be far,far before they are the only ones left alive and the enemies are already securing the point.

IIRC, no stairs outside of that doorway, but if they're far enough down a hallway, they might have just enough angle to see feet moving around while prone.

 Bottom of the door gets shot out, then a pause, then you start taking damage. Also no stairs out there, there's a set stairs that goes up through the wall to your immediate left but none that would let you see under doors.
