The first MSU football home game I got to attend was in 2001, and not only was that the season where Jackie Sherrill's luck ran out, but we capped it off with a loss to BYU that included the worst officiating I had ever seen for any sporting event. It was bad enough that I'd say it was a good 42 point swing. Coincidentally I am sure, on this second to last game of the season, they were trying to preserve an undefeated season and had refs from their conference there.
