If they don't know how to do and you have a body to spare, have them teach the fucker. If fucker is an idiot, then don't just let him loaf around and do something about it, bring in 3rd or 2nd or 1st classes to teach him something if there's some issue with them doing it, Chief being the last guy that needs to be bothered with it because his coffee might get cold. Really, we should all just ask Panda our leadership questions. On the nose as always.

Basically this, if the DIVO isn't working through the or LPO or some odd situation (tiny command, watch floor, etc.) then something is not going correctly.

oh also if your divo is giving you orders like that, do what he says and politely let your cpo/lpo know about it after

Our chief was worthless and lpo was worse especially when it came to technical matters. We were a software development shop and out divo actually had a background in that so when it came to technical stuff he didn't trust the chief to relay information properly. Divo would talk to us directly until the chief threw a hissy fit about chain of command and then work slowly ground to a halt because he had no loving idea what we were doing. The miracle of email and leaving people out of the to line brought things back around.

Question about correcting a senior person (LDO). So this guy is all about uniform regulations and whatnot, which is fine but he stopped someone the other day and was hemming them up about attention to detail, etc. I couldn't help but notice his MA badge was not according to regulations (flush to the US Navy tape if it's the cloth badge, 1/4 inch if it's metal- and he's wearing the cloth with the 1/4 inch gap.) Normally I don't care about things like that but I thought it was ironic that he was correcting someone when he himself was not in accordance with regulations. How does one go about "correcting" a senior person who thinks he's God's gift to the Navy?

You should passively aggressively assault him about it. Put up posters with diagrams on every bulletin board he walks past every day. Do poo poo to subtly gently caress with him.

You should shipmate him.

Yeah the CO thing is a gay way to go about it. I'd say it to his face, but he'd probably take it the wrong way. He "and halt"ed a guy in his division who saw him walking up and turned to go in to a building without saluting, but he was definitely 30 paces away. I like the idea of putting up the instruction on cork boards but that takes a little more effort and it'd be pretty obvious it was me putting them up since people would see. Oh well, guess I'll just go back to minding my own business and thinking that Mustangs are by far, worse than SWOs.

If he points out its wrong point out its just like his. If not wear it the new cooler way and don't be such a baby. Alternately use your enlistment bonus to hire russian hackers to put kiddie porn on his personal and work laptop. Then dime him out to NCIS.

So E7 profile sheets are out. I took the test for LDO purposes and did about as well as I thought I'd do, which is good because I'm getting out of the Navy and didn't really want to put in a package. Two guys in my office who no poo poo studied everyday got a 72 and a 76 which are in the 98th percentile so that's awesome for them, although I don't think your score actually matters as long as you make board.

Score isn't super important but it can be used as a tie-breaker during the selection board. I have really come to loving hate the word behoove. Every semiliterate dork in the Navy uses that word to sound smart. Thanks for triggering me Nwabudike Morgan.

my boots have been out of regs for 4 years and I dont plan on changing that. No way I'd correct someone senior just to end up in their crosshairs.
