what is art really? it is simply that stuff you look at and go "wow." that's art.

jesus how do none of y'all understand what "art" is. it's a scam. it's a scam that I started to make money. literally anything that you look at and go "wow how artistic" is paying a royalty to me, the person who came up with the idea of art and copyrighted it according to international law. liking art=give me money. not liking art=social death. it's a very profitable equation.

i think art is just a perspective, op. and works of art are when people try to apply that perspective for you, but sometimes (most of the time) they just do it cause they want your money

wall banana is bad art because duchamp already did that poo poo 100 years ago and did it better art is nailing a coat rack to the floor of your studio and calling it "trebuchet" (trip/fall/place where fall happens) and coming home drunk and accidentally tripping on it and falling on your rear end |

Art is creating something without a purpose. Sometimes you find a purpose afterwards but you are not setting out to solve a problem. You are simply trying to express.

the music videos for ocean of tears, door and so hot your hurting my feelings are from some sort of dream alternate universe mid 80s bizarro mtv. i think the music video is one of the best forms of art and this isn't a joke. the form has been freed from the shackles of television and is experiencing something of a renaissance, in my estimation. the combination of lovely sounds, lovely visuals and lovely words can be more impactful in a few minutes then a 3 hour film trying to convince me that life is bad

I readily acknowledge and account for Death of the Author when presenting work, and half the fun of showing work is seeing what someone else gets from it. Money would be nice, but I knew in choosing this field that money would not be in my future.
