Hey there, this is going be another two episode week as I didn't manage to get the bonus episode for Saturday. This means that today episode 11 is live and the bonus episode showcasing all of the White and Yellow Trinities
as well as the second-to-last Final Mix exclusive Heartless will go live on Thursday. Anyways, I hope you enjoy today's episode and we will be back on Thursday with the final bonus episode.

Episode 11 - Pooh's Minigame Madness - NCOC

Winnie-the-Pooh
English VA: Jim Cummings
Japanese VA: Shun Yashiro [KH I]; Sukekiyo Kameyama [KH II][KH BbS]; Mitsuaki Kanuka [KH III]
First Appearance: "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" (1966)
Journal Entry: A little bear living in the Hundred Acre Wood. His favorite food is honey. Being a Bear of Very Little Brain, he's a bit absent-minded. Sometimes he even forgets what it was he was trying to remember.

Piglet
English VA: John Fiedler [KH I]; Travis Oates [KH II][KH III]
Japanese VA: Kiyoshi Komiyama [KH I]; Mitsuru Ogata [KH II][KH III]
First Appearance: "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day" (1968)
Journal Entry: Pooh's best friend in the Hundred Acre Wood. Tiny, timid Piglet is startled by just about anything. When that happens, he covers his eyes with his floppy ears.

Owl
English VA: Andre Stojka
Japanese VA: Toshiya Ueda
First Appearance: "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" (1966)
Journal Entry: The wisest resident of the Hundred Acre Wood. Whenever anyone has a question he can't answer, he asks the Owl... though Owl isn't always right! Owl likes to talk, but sometimes he puts his listeners to sleep.

Rabbit
English VA: Ken Sansom [KH II]; Tom Kenny [KH III]
Japanese VA: Naoki Tatsuta
First Appearance: "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" (1966)
Journal Entry: Rabbit is an earnest, hardworking member of the Hundred Acre Wood community. He keeps to himself, but lends a hand when others need him. He's not always comfortable around the exuberant Tigger.

Tigger
English VA: Jim Cummings
Japanese VA: Tesshō Genda
First Appearance: "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day" (1968)
Journal Entry: Tigger loves to bounce more than anything. Sometimes his bouncing gets out of hand, but he doesn't mean any harm. Beneath that happy-go-lucky exterior beats a sensitive, gentle heart.

Roo
English VA: Jimmy Bennett [KH II]; Aidan McGraw [KH III]
Japanese VA: Masaya Sugimoto [KH II]; Kōsei Kimura [KH III]
First Appearance: "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" (1966)
Journal Entry: Roo dreams of bouncing as well as Tigger someday. He's mischievous, energetic, and fearless, but grows uneasy when Tigger is not around.

Stopra
Same effect as its previous incarnation of "Stop", the notable difference is that its duration is longer and the area-of-effect is bigger.

Bambi
Item Drop: Bambi prances about the area, dropping large quantities of MP orbs in the process. If a certain amount of enemies are defeated while Bambi is in play then Bambi will make a great leap and drop a special item.

Mushu
Fire Power: Mushu appears on Sora's head and spits fireballs from his mouth at his targets. While Sora is using him, he cannot attack directly but rather let Mushu attack from a distance.
Mushu's fireballs are ineffective against those that are immune to fire magic.

Hey there everyone, time for episode 12! Also, you might notice that there is a bonus episode in the playlists right before episode 12. This is the bonus
episode I mentioned a while ago. The bonus episode has the changed cutscenes from when you go through Monstro after having defeated at least the first
Riku fight in Hollow Bastion. It also includes the proper voiced dialogue cutscene for when you complete the Hercules Cup at Olympus Coliseum. I found
out that cutscene only fires if you have completed the Phil and Pegasus Cups prior to completing the Hercules Cup. There are some other things in the
bonus episode but you will need to watch it to find out what they are.

Aurora
English VA: Jennifer Hale
Japanese VA: Mayumi Suzuki
First Appearance: "Sleeping Beauty" (1959)
Journal Entry: A young woman with a lovely voice. She is loved by three good fairies and cursed by Maleficent. The sorceress captured Aurora to help open the final Keyhole.

Cinderella
English VA: Jennifer Hale
Japanese VA: Yoriko Suzuki
First Appearance: "Cinderella" (1950)
Journal Entry: A hardworking young girl who's often bullied by her stepmother and stepsisters. She is one of the princesses needed to open the final Keyhole, and was captured by the Heartless. Her world has already been destroyed.

Snow White
English VA: Carolyn Gardner
Japanese VA: Kurumi Kobato
First Appearance: "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937)
Journal Entry: A beautiful princess, gentle and pure as snow. She is one of the princesses needed to open the final Keyhole, and was captured by the Heartless. Her world has already been swallowed by the darkness.

Pink Agaricus
Journal Entry: A colossal Heartless called forth by euphoric White Mushrooms. A dancer by nature, once it starts dancing, it can't stop.
Additional Note: This is another Final Mix exclusive Heartless. The best strategy for this one is the one I showed off in the video, but if you haven't watched it then the TLDR is as follows.
1. Fight it in Deep Jungle, for cripe's sake. Trying to fight it in Atlantica (the only other world it can spawn in is impossible as you can't do Limits in Atlantica.
2. Trap Donald and Goofy outside the Tree House by landing on the platform with the tall ladder leading to the top and using a summon. Preferrably Bambi.
3. Once you have refilled your MP gauge with either items or Bambi's MP orb drops then Dismiss your summon.
4. Make sure the camera is positioned so that you are looking in the direction of the platform Donald and Goofy are on. This will prevent them from teleporting in to join the battle because if they hit the Agaricus then it will despawn.
5. Target the top of the Agaricus and cast your highest level Stop spell. This is best done with Stopga, but can be done with Stopra. You will just want at least Stopra because of the duration of how long it will last.
6. Immediately use your Ragnarok limit.
7. As soon as you have dropped to the ground from Ragnarok, jump up and start comboing.
8. Cast Ragnarok again as soon as you are able to.
9. PROFIT! This should get you pretty drat close to 100 hits which will guarantee you the Serentity Power synthesis material and if you got 100 hits you will also get a Prime Cap accessory.

Sniper Wild
Journal Entry: A Heartless resembling a monkey. It roams as it pleases, rarely paying attention to its surroundings. If Sora is spotted, it will call forth numerous allies, all armed with slingshots.
Additional Note: The strategy for this Final Mix exclusive is also explained in the video but here is a TLDR if you haven't watched it yet.
1. Cast Stop/ra/ga.
2. Attack
3. Destroy it before it can see you as the Sniper Wilds act like Metal Gear: Solid guards and tons of Sniper Wilds will start spawning if you are noticed.
4. Rinse and repeat until you have obtained all of the Power Stone synthesis items you need. Note that the pattern will continue until you have killed 30 Sniper Wilds and then everything will reset back to the original as if you had just walked into Second District.

Stealth Soldier
Journal Entry: A stealthy Heartless similar in appearance to a Soldier. It appears alongside other Heartless and deals attacks from afar. Although a troublesome enemy, it shows itself once its weakness is uncovered.
Additional Note: It is literally invisible until you have dealt enough damage to it. The only way you will know it is there is if you constantly switch targets and eventually the reticle settles on something that doesn't appear to actually be there.

Behemoth
Journal Entry: Immensely powerful Heartless. With their large frame, they trample enemies, and repel most attacks. Damaging their weak point makes them lose consciousness. Strike them with potent attacks while they are down.

Invisible
Journal Entry: Heartless wielding a large sword. These winged Heartless can move freely through the air. Besides their sword, they attack with their tail and wings. With their high attack power, they often defeat their foes quickly.

Angel Star
Journal Entry: Flying Heartless that cast potent spells. They are born of holy spells. They attack from long range with magic. They block physical attacks with their wings, making them difficult to defeat.

Arch Behemoth
Journal Entry: A Behemoth subspecies. Although similar in appearance to the Behemoth, it lacks their aptitude. However, it shares their strengths and weaknesses.
Additional Note: Take note that this enemy has a 5% chance to drop an additional Omega Arts accessory. You may (or may not) consider it worth your time to try and get it to drop it.

Firaga
The ultimate form of fire magic for Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. This has the most potent power and homing capability of all of the levels of fire magic.
Power: Max MP+30

Curaga
The ultimate healing magic for Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix.
HP Restored: Max MP + 36

Did you ever beat Canary Mary? No! I haven't even PLAYED Bioshock Infinite!
Alrighty, we have a new episode here as well a notice that this weekend we will be recording the first episode of the next game in the series. It will also be done in a special way, but I'm not quite ready to reveal what that means yet. You will see in three weeks from today! Look forward to it! Anyways, on with today's episode. Fyi, today's episode is the same on both playlists as there were no cutscenes that I felt I needed to cut our commentary out of. It will be the same for episode fourteen as well since that is cleanup content as well. The plot of the game will finish up in episode fifteen. I also want to make note that I updated the
first two posts and corrected some mistakes that I saw. Some of the spells in the magic section had stats derived from the vanilla version of KH1 that was released on the PS2, some characters were missing from the Characters section of the first post and some episodes were missing from the Episodes section of the first post. I have now corrected everything so everything is now up-to-date.

Episode 13 - Phantom in the Night

Chernabog
First Appearance: Night on Bald Mountain, 1940
Journal Entry: A giant demon that emerged from the depths of the earth in a fiery eruption.

Phantom
Journal Entry: Ghostlike Heartless who haunted the clock tower standing far away from Neverland. Fluttering his eerie cloak, he cast a spell to take Sora's heart. Having no physical body, regular attacks were useless, but in the end Sora and company discovered his weakness and prevailed.
Trivia: This Heartless is actually based on Lord Umbra from the book Peter and the Shadow Thieves which was a continuation of the story of Peter Pan that was published by Disney.

Neoshadow
Journal Entry: A Heartless that travels in packs. Combining their powers allows them to attack Sora while also healing themselves. Leaving even just one alive will result in a never-ending battle.
Additional Info: The journal is actually kind of on point for this on when it says the battle will go on forever if even one is left alive. Basically, the battle with the Neoshadows starts with seven of them and changes as more are defeated. At the beginning they are vulnerable to Stop magic but that only lasts until you finish stage one of the fight.

After there are only four Neoshadows remaining, they change tactics and sink into shadowy portals that appear beneath them on the ground. Afterwards, nine of these portals will appear around Sora, and the Neoshadows will choose random portals to jump out of and attack simultaneously. After attacking, they land on the ground for a brief moment, then the portals reappear beneath them and they sink back into the ground. The only time they can be hurt at this stage is right when they land on the ground, before the portals appear beneath them once again. If a single blow connects with one of them, it opens a short window to execute a combo. At this point, Stop magic no longer affects them.

Once there are only two Neoshadows left, they change tactics once more. In this stage of the fight, a single Neoshadow will wander around the room, and has access to all the attacks and abilities of the earlier stages (instead of several portals appearing on the ground like stage two of the fight, the Neoshadow will just use it as a way to get close to Sora to attack him). It also retains the immunity to Stop magic. While this Neoshadow attacks Sora, the other one appears as a black portal beneath Sora, then partially emerges from it to grab Sora's leg, which prevents him from moving, attacking, or using magic for a brief period. To counter this, Sora can jump when the portal appears beneath him, but cannot hurt this Neoshadow in any way. Instead, Sora must focus on the other Neoshadow that moves around the room, and attempt to kill it instead.

When there is a single Neoshadow remaining, it will move to the center of the room and attempt to summon more Neoshadows. Six portals will appear on the ground in a circle around it, and new Neoshadows will appear within them, attempting to climb out of the portals back into the room. Instead of going after the last remaining Neoshadow, Sora must focus his attacks on the ones emerging from the portals, who will emerge as fully healed Neoshadows after several seconds. Once the emerging Neoshadows are slain, Sora can direct his attention to the final Neoshadow, and defeat it to end the fight. If Sora fails to defeat the new Neoshadows after a certain amount of time, they will emerge from the portals and the fight will reset to whichever stage corresponds to the new number of Neoshadows (7-5 for Stage 1, 4-3 for Stage 2, or 2 for Stage 3).

Stopga
The most powerful of the time magics for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It has the largest area-of-effect.
Duration = Max MP + 2 (in seconds)

Ice Titan
First Appearance: "Hercules" (1997)

I would note that Greek and Roman have blended together in the subsequent millennia thanks to the syncretism of the Greek pantheon by the Roman Empire.

Actually the Disney version of Aladdin is 18 while Jasmine was a few days short of 16 in terms of age in the original movie. It was a production decision to age the former up since he was originally much younger in the first iteration of the movie which made him seem like Michael J. Fox when the execs thought that the character should be Tom Cruise.

That's neat to learn. In the original tale Jasmine is 12-14, I believe. Doesn't make Jaffar any less creepy though.

Oh Jafar's advances in the movie were absolutely meant to be the behavior of a creep since the underlying motive behind them was desire to claim the throne rather than actual love.

Interestingly, the live action film notes that Jafar was a thief in his youth and made his ambition be to use Agrabah to invade the kingdom of Shirabad out of revenge for his time in its dungeons. The Sultan's wife and Princess Jasmine's late mother, the Queen, was stated to have been a Princess of Shirabad prior to her marriage to the Sultan and it is possible that Jafar arranged her murder as both revenge for his imprisonment and possibly to instigate war between the two kingdoms. Jafar even explicitly compares their thief backgrounds and desire to improve their social status though it's clear that while Aladdin wants just enough to live comfortably, Jafar is shown to never be satisfied with what he has gained as long as there are those greater than himself hence why Aladdin was able to trick Jafar into using his last wish to become a genie in the first place.

By contrast, the book analogue to him is actually two distinct characters: The vizier, who merely arranged for Princess Badroulbadour to marry his son, and a sorcerer, who lends young Aladdin a magic ring & persuades him to retrieve an oil lamp from a booby-trapped magic cave only to double-cross him afterwords. The vizier, while having some form of ambition, isn't quite evil in this story as the villain role falls solely to the sorcerer and the latter's more powerful and evil brother.

I wouldn’t say Ursula honors her deal since her plan hinged on sabotaging Ariel’s relationship with Eric. Compare that to Hades who at worst neglected to warn Herc of the River Styx’s lethal nature until the latter had already jumped in presumably having already deduced this himself.

Hell, Meg was arguably the one who sabotaged Hades’s deal with Hercules by getting herself killed by the pillar, quite possibly knowingly, whereas Hades would have like told off the Cyclops for this, something along the lines “You titanic, monoeyed duncecap! My deal with Wonderboy hinges on Nutmeg being alive and well otherwise he gets his strength back so just to make this crystal clear: DON’T KILL THE GIRL!”

He only takes her soul a consolation prize after he had already lost.

Hello everyone and welcome to the eleventh episode of Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories HD for the PC and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories for the Gameboy Advance. Welp, this is it. We are on the last three episodes of Sora's,
Donald's and Goofy's journey through this crazy castle. We have met some very strange folks on this journey and now it is time to really start uncovering just what the heck has been going on this entire time. Last week we were in
Atlantica revisiting Aeriel, Sebastian and Flounder. This week we head to a town that is said to exist in the memories on the other side of Sora's heart. At least, that is what Vexen said it is last week. Anyways, let's jump in and
see just what is going on in this strange town.

Well here, we are. The final episode of Sora's story in Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories HD for the PC and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories for the GBA. This marks the halfway point in this game with another entire story to play through. Unfortunately, we are going to need to hold off for one week on that playthrough as Silegna will still be doing his part where he plays through the GBA version of thew game, but he is busy moving into a new apartment and we won't be able to record an episode until the weekend after Labor Day. I hope you all will enjoy this episode and will come back once we begin doing the second half of this playthrough. We will see you guys again for the next episode on September 14th, 2022. In the meantime, I have been streaming and you can check that out here and Shinomaku has been streaming here. He also has a new Youtube channel here. I suggest you go check all of those out and give the Twitch channels a follow and subscribe to Shino's Youtube channel. Anyways, on with the final episode of Sora's story for this game.

First of all, I need to apologize for being a day late with this update. Things just got really busy yesterday, anyways...

And welcome to the first episode in Riku's half of the story. This one will likely go much faster than Sora's story as you will be able to tell when you watch the episode. We actually knock out two worlds in this episode and will likely knock out three worlds in episode 2. Anyways, our story thus far has Sora falling asleep and Riku just now waking up...

Re:Chain of Memories HD No Commentary Over Cutscenes
Reverse/Rebirth - Episode 01 - Wake Up, Riku - NCOC

Chain of Memories GBA
Reverse/Rebirth - Episode 01 - A Terrible Place For a Nap

Ansem
Journal Entry: Pursuer of darkness. To open the door to darkness, Ansem used the Heartless to steal countless hearts. He enslaved Riku, but met his demise at Sora's hand. Nonetheless, Ansem's shadow lives on in the depths of Riku's heart.

King Mickey
Journal Entry: The king who reigns over Disney Castle. He set off alone to protect his world and all worlds from the dominion of the dark. When Riku fell into the realm of darkness, the king showed him the way, but the two were separated when the door to darkness was closed.

Zexion
Journal Entry: No. 6 in the Organization. Zexion generally avoids dirtying his own hands when there are deeds to be done. [spoilers]However, with the destruction of Vexen and Lexaeus, he was forced into action. Disguised as Sora, Zexion confronted Riku. But Riku no longer feared the dark, and victory was beyond Zexion's reach.[/spoilers]

Lexaeus
Journal Entry: No. 5 in the Organization. A born warrior, Lexaeus effortlessly brandishes a gigantic tomahawk. [spoilers]To counterbalance his rival Marluxia's bid for Sora's power, Lexaeus tried to conquer Riku, but was defeated by Riku's dark powers.[/spoilers]

Attack Cards
Soul Eater: Your default attack card and the only one you will actually get.

Friend Cards
The King - The king restores HP, stuns and deals damage to all enemies, and reloads cards. Stock more than one to increase the effect.

Sleights
Sleights are where the real differences between Sora and Riku kick in. Whereas Sora got sleights from treasure chests, leveling and sometimes story events, Riku gets all of his sleights right after the first world after you have obtained
access to Dark Mode. The only sleights that can be activated without Dark Mode are Holy Burst, MM Miracle LV2 and MM Miracle LV3. All other sleights require Riku to be in Dark Mode, unless they are a Duel Sleights. Duels are when Riku lays a card with the same value
as the enemy's card and then hits the Reaction Command to enter Duel Mode. Keep in mind Duel Mode is a RE:CoM Reverse/Rebirth exclusive ability. Which Duel Mode sleight you will use is dependent on how many cards need to be broken in
the duel. When in Dark Mode, Duel Mode sleights are similar to but more powerful than their counterparts when Riku is not in Dark Mode.
Dark Break - Leap into the air and attack enemies from above. In RE:CoM, press Triangle when it flashes on-screen to add an attack. Pressing Triangle when it isn't on-screen will cancel the sleight. Requires 3 Attack cards with a total value between 5 and 15.
Dark Firaga - Expel dark energy in a searing blast. This attack is dark-elemental, not fire-elemental. Requires 3 Attack cards with a total value between 16 and 25.
Dark Aura - Rush enemies repeatedly with blade in hand. Finish off by stabbing Soul Eater into the ground for a column of light that confuses the enemy. Requires 3 Attack cards with a total value of 27.
MM Miracle LV2 - The king restores HP, and stuns and deals damage to all enemies, and reloads cards. One of the 3 sleights that can be used outside of Dark Mode. Requires 2 Mickey Friend cards.
MM Miracle LV3 - The king restores a lot of HP, and stuns and deals damage to all enemies, and reloads cards. One of the 3 sleights that can be used outside of Dark Mode. Requires 3 Mickey Friend cards.
Holy Burst (RE:CoM Exclusive) - Multiple shots back to back with the king. Use the left analog stick to control the direction of the tornado. One of the 3 sleights that can be used outside of Dark Mode. Requires 1 Mickey Friend card and 2 Attack cards.
Inverse Burst (RE:CoM Exclusive) - Multiple shots with your back against the king's. Enemies become confused when hit. Use the left analog stick to control the direction of the tornado. Must be in Dark Mode. Requires 1 Mickey Friend card and 2 Attack cards.
Impulse - Duel Mode sleight. Knock foes into the air before a slam down to the ground, damaging multiple enemies. Requires winning a duel where you need to break 3 cards.
Maelstrom - Duel Mode sleight. Unleash a spinning attack on the enemy. Damage is concentrated to one enemy. Requires winning a duel where you need to break 5 cards.
Barrage - Duel Mode sleight. Throw the Soul Eater towards the enemy. Damage is concentrated to one enemy. Requires winning a duel where you need to break 7 cards.

And here we are at the final episode for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days: The Movie and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on the Nintendo DS. This is also the final episode of the Kingdom Hearts LP in general for the year 2022. Yippeee, we made it to the end of the year. With that said, there will be more LP content coming up from me personally starting next week with Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core - Reunion. I will also be streaming the entirety of Parasite Eve during the week leading up to Christmas starting on Monday, December 19th, so you will still have plenty of content to keep you entertained. I'm doing Crisis Core and Parasite Eve for two-fold reasons. The first reason is that I would like to give my co-commentators a bit of a break before we jump back into more Kingdom Hearts nonsense with the beginning of Kingdom Hearst HD 2.5 ReMIX which will start with Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix HD on PC. The second reason is specific to Crisis Core and that is that I am very interested in examining the differences between the original PSP release of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and the new (remake or remaster, I'm not sure which it is) version being released on PS5, Xbox Series whatever, PC and Nintendo Switch. Anyways, with all of that said enjoy the final episode of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
