when I make coffee on the weekends and offer my gf some she puts a bunch of milk and sugar in it and then drinks like 1/8 of a cup before throwing it out, so now I just don't offer to make her any coffee and also hit her sometimes

Weren't there a couple studies that showed regular caffeine drinkers basically had to have caffeine to maintain normal levels of alertness and brain functionality? I drink tea maybe once or twice a week and coffee maybe once a weekend. I like the taste of both but I also like being able to wake up in the morning without needing coffee.

When I was a kid, my parents would constantly gently caress up making coffee, filling the house with the stench of burnt coffee, so even a properly made cup still makes me vaguely queasy. The also couldn't make iced tea for poo poo so I can't stand it either. I like hot tea but can only have it when it starts getting cooler. So I'm basically stuck drinking water until like late-September.

I stopped drinking coffee for a few years a while back and it was great, I was more even-keeled throughout the day and didnt get that afternoon slump. Now I'm back drinking it again because I love that pinon poo poo from trader joes.

When I was younger I always thought when I became an adult I would like the taste of coffee. I still can't drink it, when I buy a cup I literally have to choke it down because it just takes like disgusting burnt water, same with tea. No matter how much cream and sugar I add it just tastes disgusting. Same with beer... I think it's because I drink and eat a lot of sweet stuff honestly.

You don't put loving cream in tea, you add milk (and sugar if you want). Tea with cream in it is disgusting. I drink coffee (black) first thing in the morning, then a few cups of tea (milk & sugar/sweetener) throughout the day at work. Maybe another cup of tea when I get back, but never after 8pm. A lot of people who don't like tea or coffee have only ever tried it poorly made. They then assume it all tastes like that. Or, some of them legitimately have different tastes... I actually like the taste of tea and/or coffee, but don't enjoy drinking hot liquids. I thought iced tea/coffee was a good compromise, but multiple people have informed me that drinking them cold makes you worse than Hitler

I drink iced coffee if it's a hot day. I prefer it milky and sweetened though, unlike my hot coffee which I like black and unsweetened. Iced tea is just a travesty.

Everywhere in Australia has better coffee then Starbuck because you don't serve coffee here unless you have an espresso machine and know how to use it.

i drink coffee if i need some energy in the morning but i use it just for the caffine boost. i just drink it black outta the pot i dont give a gently caress what it is and i dont need sugar and cream and bullshit in it. never after like 12/1 in the afternoon
