That charger is actually perfect for a frequent drunk driver, both the styling and the history show a record of poor decision making.

But from what some of the NZ and Aus guys tell me it's a pretty mediocre car aside from the powertrains. In their day they weren't actually too bad, the engine definatly made the difference tho. The turbo motor is an absolute gem in a light car - you can horrifically overpower the chassis with huge boost. It's odd that the BA Falcon turbo hasn't really developed the cult of the VL turbo, even more power in a better chassis. It's not really much of a joke that A VL turbo and a BA Falcon turbo do the same ET at a drag strip. The VL is simply unable to get into the 10's without some big rear end mods, the BAs do one run and get kicked out for being too fast without a cage.

The posts that you guys like to irrelevantly link to are either questions asked on behalf of friends or hypotheticals. It is automatically insulting to intelligence to begin poo poo like "My friend had a dream that he is currently [...]" so I just say it to skip the useless inevitable jabs aimed at the "mystery friend" No matter how true it is, this is the case, and I never thought it'd be an issue until this thread. There's even an optional FN Mag machine gun if you need someone to help plow the road ahead of you. Eat poo poo and die. If you want to make a car analogy based off of Israel's tolerance and willingness to absorb daily Hamas rockets while doing nothing in response, a more accurate one would be a car that is designed to have any sort of crash/collision result in 99% of the car's wreckage/crunch being absorbed inwards (putting the driver in harm's way), with 1% bouncing outwards to minimize public damages. And then that car company would be demonized and singled out despite the fact there are many other cars on the road that are much worse and common. And then that car would finally be recalled under the guise of "safety" due to the threat it poses to others, not to the driver itself. The only thing about my country that disturbs me is the humanitarian gymnastics it takes to minimize civilian casualties at the expense of itself, and your failure to recognize them. Well that touched a nerve! I thought the better analogy would be a car that when tapped in a corner exploded into a million pieces and killed dozens of people who have absolutely no involvement whatosever wtih the collision- That seems a tad more accurate in the current climate.

Where do you live? I'll find you something better than either of these shitpiles. Mustangs and (imho) Chargers are not inherently bad choices, but the specific cars you are considering both have huge red flags. And one other question. Do you actually want a "performance vehicle" or do you just want something you think looks cool? If the latter there's no shame in that, but don't pretend it's the former as it will confuse people's recommendations. I ask because a V6 07 Mustang and an 06 Charger with mainly (only?) cosmetic modifications are going to be about as much of a "performance vehicle" as a new camry or accord. Look at the Carfax again. See how the VIN is for a Charger R/T with the V8? Now it has a V6 for some reason. Even if your weird ideas about insurance just totaling out cars for fun were true, something more than a "minor fender bender" happened with that car. The best cases are that it was stolen, stripped, and rebuilt with cheap lovely unreliable parts, or that somebody abused it to the point where they blew the motor and then couldn't afford another V8.
