wait so windows has 36 total vulnerabilities but IE, which is only on windows, has 242 so they're obviously splitting these up based on "OS" vs "app" which i'm sure is a fair distinction to somebody, somewhere but saying one OS has less vulnerabilities is misleading obviously

no you see when they find & fix a lot of vulnerabilities it means the OS is insecure, and when those vulnerabilities are not found & fixed it's more secure.
