That's Team Alpha Male. They get a pass on jovial homosocial behaviours.

(or he was TAM anyway, during their shirtless oily golden years.)

No, Karyn Bryant and Kenny joshed Eric about it on the aftershow.

And yeah, during the fight, along with what else he was saying, it meant to pull his hips away from the cage.

If I ever corner someone for an MMA fight (which is actually a non-zero chance) I'm going to make sure that everything I yell is an obvious sexual double entendre so that my fighter's opponent gets distracted and starts laughing so my fighter, seasoned to this strategy, can capitalize.

This opening segment with Ronaldo is terribly heart-wrenching, which is going to make it that much more depressing when he gets unceremoniously wrestled into a decision loss

Unless you're a movement coach, then the least surprising thing to you would be "hey, you know that picture of John Lennon walking?"

New episode tonight after two weeks off.

Benavidez seems really insecure about the whole "role model" thing.

Cejudo just seems like he isn't very good at talking.

Just watched. Pantoja's standup is very legit. His high kick off the break and the inside kick to break Kai's base were both really nice. Dana's low opinion is because it was a pretty moderately-paced, methodical affair.

yeah i was impressed by it. i didn't expect him to be able to convincingly beat kai on the feet and he did just that. can't blame dana's reaction though, it was tepid.

He's also probably overreacting a little because it was the worst fight of the season thus far, which says less about the fight and more about how surprisingly good all the fights have been this season.

I think I liked Pantoja's performance as a good example of mixing it up to keep your opponent off-balance, even if some of the techniques are not in themselves effective (his far-out and undisguised takedown attempts). As long as you have the gas to waste, you're gonna have an advantage on an opponent who can't guess your next move.

also: :3: at the cutman asking Pantoja if he was gonna raise hell, Pantoja saying he didn't speak English, the cutman saying "ok, just say Yeah!", and Pantoja saying yeah and everyone laughing.

I loved Hiro's whole 13th Warrior experience.
They didn't even subtitle him saying "Card battle!" in response to Yu-gi-oh.

He's like a smaller second coming of Kawajiri in terms of pace and strength.
