In the future I think I would maybe visit some of the little towns on highway 5, and Canadian Niagara Falls, but not Buffalo. The answer to this thread title was "leave". Personal confession: I was born in buffalo and grew up in cleveland. I never had a chance  The rust belt, it never leaves you. But seriously a foot long chili cheese dog at Teds hot dogs makes it all worthwhile. Skip the famous wing places, they are full of chinese tourists.

Wander around downtown on a weekend morning and pretend you're the Omega Man because there is literally no one there I gather the one thing you can do in Buffalo is drink a lot of beer but I suppose you could do that anywhere Martin House is cool and good but only if you are an architecture buff
