The only annoyance I have with the redesign is that I can't find what category the plugin I am looking at belongs to.

So...what are some current thoughts on 'town' mods like Real Time Settler, Wasteland Defense, or anything else out there. I've never tried one before, but the idea really appeals to me. RTS looks like the more feature heavy mod, but it also sounds like it is kind of a pain in the rear end to actually use.

If they don't make it some epic romp like Metro 2033 where various sections of the vault are held by various factions warring I don't think I'd enjoy it at all. There's a lot of potential that can be done with it and I have a feeling it will go wasted

In the simplest terms possible, how would one go about replacing the King's School of Impersonation's jukebox playlist? I'm of course wanting to replace everything with some Sun Records-era Elvis, since whatever's playing in there now just isn't quite doing it for me. It just bugs me that there's no Elvis in the game, and the likely culprit is probably just licensing issues.

Yeah, it was licensing issues I bet (Rope Kid will probably pipe up soon), but they do explain in-game why you never hear Elvis, with the King saying all the holotapes burned out years ago.

While I really like playing Project Nevada, goddamn that has to be most mod-unfriendly mod that I have encountered in my short time modding. Some of the stuff in the rebalance module had to have been done simply out of malice. I can't imagine why they changed the base vanilla foods to the uncraftable, rotten/Rancid varieties. They must've gone through and changed every single recipe in the game to require their new items from their modules rather than just leave it and have the new items be the rotten/rancid varieties. I cannot for the life of me figure out why they did this but it fucks up my kitchen sorters and makes them useless and I hate them for it. I'm going to make a compatibility patch for Lombard Station eventually for PN to accommodate this.

To the guy who made the signature weapons mod: it's awesome, but I found a bug. After I leveled to 2 on my silenced 9mm pistol (modded with WMX) the required kills counter started going negative. As in, every time I kill something, it goes lower. Right now I'm at -21, and I don't know what the gently caress is going on. Help? Oh and also when I checked my weapon, only my level one Penetrating upgrade showed. My Lethal was set to 0 even though it was my level two upgrade. EDIT: Just checked the Nexus, and he's on vacation. Oh well, at least he's aware of the problem (someone on the Nexus had it as well). Convicted Lovebot fucked around with this message at 03:02 on Aug 24, 2011 |

Could anyone lend me a hand on how to install the 2.63 update of AG Supplementary Uniques? I extracted the .rar, deleted the OPTIONAL folder, compressed it again — just as usual — but when I use the the Add FOMod function from FOMM, it still shows that message "this mod requires a script to install that hasn't been found", could anyone shed me a light? Usually getting rid of the aforementioned folder would let me install correctly, but no dice this time.

I can live without perk every level since you can just use console commands to get your additional perk. There was a sprint mod floating around that I was using before I got PN. Right now I am in the process of deciding if I need a weather mod, and if so which? I used to really like nevada skies, but they have so many new ones to choose from. Are there any non buggy lighting/weather mods available? PS Can I download NV Bounties 1 & 2, or should I get 2 after I finish the 1st one?

Nothing about it really bothers me. I'd like some additional features, actually, like the added drugs and their visuals from FWE. Also the ability to change locational damage multipliers. It does some funky things to food, but all in all it just makes food slightly harder to come by, which is OK in my book. Honestly, it's going to take a while before it gets as good as FWE, I think.

Captain McStabbin posted:What happened to PN? Everyone seemed to like it, but now everyone is saying it's garbage? Did it go Underground Hideout and get super bloated? My only complaint with it is that it's rebalance module makes all of the vanilla food options unusable in crafting and replaces them with their own custom versions that are identical. While this isn't really a big deal 90% of the time, when you are trying to make sorters or anything that deals with crafting, it becomes a massive pain in the rear end. You have to go back and rescript all of the sorters with the new items. If there was any reason behind it it would be fine, but they could just as easily made their new items the rotten ones that aren't usable and had food degrade into those. Instead any mod that effects food or sorts aid items has to have a huge compatibility patch added to it. It's not bad, it's just done in the most mod-unfriendly way that they could have done it for no apparent gain. Edit: As a few people posted above, there is a patch that does away with this. Also could someone direct me to that patch? I can't find it on the Nexus anymore. Omnicarus fucked around with this message at 04:11 on Aug 24, 2011 |

By the way, I'm currently working on an immersion esp for The Armory that hand places 'immersion friendly' weapons around the game world so those who aren't a fan of the modern weapons in the leveled lists or don't have the willpower to resist the cabinets can use the mod too. I am not, however, adding the guns to stores - perhaps just the mod kits.
