With the conclusion of summer I've managed to farm up enough lohnuts to get a lobi ship off the exchange, and I'm just wondering what's the average price those goes for? 250mil right? Of course right now everything is 300, when I thought they'd be cheaper due to the sale. As well my current target is I think the nx-refit, as I mostly fly cruisers and the point bombardment warhead would be nice to finish that 2pc. Though I also lack superweapon ingenuity so I can't go BO til I get the Ateleth as well. Though beyond those two ships, is there anything that's must have for a mostly cruiser pilot? Beyond those two I'd love to get my hands on an Iktomi for sci builds.

Yeah though I've declined to get the bundle because it doesn't have enough that really interests me to justify the pricetag. It's basically that and the Sovereign, and then waffling if the Intel Konnie is better than the Command. Like sure the Glenn is powerful...but it's a Crossfield. And the rest of the ships are kind of whatever to me.

An airlock can provide propulsion if you don't need an atmosphere inside your ship!

Sell them on the exchange for EC and buy the ships off, no direct getting lobi sadly. But a stack of 999 sells from anywhere from 10mil to 15mil if you're patient.

Don't get me wrong, it's not nothing. I was probably being too flippant. If someone hasn't gotten into the AH yet and needs seed money to start flipping poo poo, that's plenty to get the ball rolling.

Something's up, the Zen purchase tool switched from Steam integration to their own online store, and nothing is on sale at the store anymore.

Usually this is a sign that the game developer no longer can afford Steam sales commissions, or transaction processing times, and needs cash fast.

I was just about to bite the bullet and buy my first T6 by getting the Recon ship set 1 for 4k zen but now I am going to wait and see what's what.

I also noticed that the mirror universe package was on sale for 2700 zen for a few days, but goddamn if the 3-nacelle Galaxy isn't fugly so I passed on that. And it would not have given me a ship for the "red team" run I am planning to do after I run out of campaign missions for the Starfleet.

Only place the game soundtrack has bothered me so far is DS9; they could have something in addition of running the show theme on a 10 sec. loop.

Buying Zen through Steam/Epic requires starting the launcher through the respective store. I just checked Epic, and it's still there. Did you make a shortcut to skip Steam because of the recent Steam (re)integration breaking stuff?

I launch the launcher via Steam but haven't checked it in detail. Earlier it always threw me into my steam wallet; I just found it weird that today it started to want me to verify my ARC account and redirecred me to the webstore constantly. And yes, I allowed the account integration since I have so far only one character and the only thing I have bought was enough Zen to get my T5 the T5-U upgrade.

Next thing I am about to get is the EC limit thingy, so that I can get the Fleet something something modules from the Exchange. My dill farming work and leftovers are about to hit 500 zen in few days, and I think that is the best use for the leftovers. But at the same time I thought that I might as well but the first T6:s, since the game is free to play and I more or less treat it like Starfleet command 4, for which I would have paid full retail price so I am still ~60 Eur "under the budget".

Well, there goes the Hall of Fame...
Legendary Bundle are Scimitar and D'Deridex.

Dreadnought Warbird has the same sort of greebles that the Battle Cruiser and Destroyer have, and can use all of the other six Scimitar skins (of which only one was updated). Looks like 3/3/5 console layout, Intel seating somewhere.
Intel primarily, with some Command stuff.

Tal'Shiar skin, but no actual compatibility with the Tal'Shiar lock box/Lobi ships. Base 7.5 turn rate. She's a Predator will apply your cloak ambush bonus damage immediately.

Legendary D'Deridex is a Miracle Worker ship with some Temporal seating too.

Starship trait is a reference to the NPCs using Tractor Beam then High Yield Plasma torpedoes.

At first, they said the turn rate has been improved, but they then said they have it listed as 5, like the current one. They didn't want to "change its identity" too much.

Bundle also has free T6 ship coupon, two T6-x upgrades, two ship slots, Romulan doff packs, TOS Romulan uniform, TNG Romulan uniform, Reman uniform, Reman species.

Some improvements to some of the ships' consoles, drone ship AI somewhat improved for switching modes.

Regarding dilithium sinks, they don't want to make too many changes too quickly, so that they can measure the effects (metrics) of changes. Vanity Shield promotion was a good thing, immediately reversed by the summer sale. Thomas may have succeeded at something he was lobbying for, was being too polite about system stuff and was persuaded by others to do so. It will (presumably) be a permanent change to the game.

Weapons: 5 / 3
Consoles: 3 / 3 / 5
Bridge Officer Stations:
Commander Tactical / Intel
Lieutenant Commander Engineering / Command
Lieutenant Commander Universal
Lieutenant Universal
Ensign Universal

Starship Trait: She's a Predator
Activating any attack pattern ability heals you for a percentage of your max health grants damage equal to your Ambush bonus, and reduces your cloak cooldown.

4/4 weapon slots, 5/3/3+1 universal console slots. Turn rate slightly improved over regular D'deridex. Ensign Uni + Lt Uni + LtC Tactical/Temporal + Cmdr Engineering/MW bridge station.

Tier 6 trait buffs tractor beam: +15% bonus torpedo damage for 10 secs, fires 3 Heavy plasma torpedo at target.

Still keeping the ltc science as well for the D'dex? And I wonder how slight is slight. Though MW is at least what beams want. She's a Predator might be an okay tanking trait for Romulans just thanks to all the SROs.

The Courage that we just got is really the worst. The grey one's hull makes it look like it's a non-Starfleet ship that got press-ganged into starfleet service, at least, so that works, and the others at least link back to Starfleet design lineages.

(Well, the tikhov - second from left on top - doesn't really, but it's a unique design built to carry the Seed Vault. And the rainforest ship is just a cool dome in space but its purpose is clearly to be a cool rainforest dome in space)

Also I wonder if the little ramp at the bottom of the Courage is meant to be a place to launch/collect shuttles and now I'm imagining it just flinging ships out of there like a pool slide.

Eimi posted:

Wierdly the detached stuff that kind of suited the look best was the United Earth defence ship-stations, they managed to pull off the 'floating apart because they're just so advanced you can't make sense of them' look better, and the force field stations looked cool blooming out their generator arms as separate bits. I wonder if they designed them first.

Yeah it's probably the worst of the bunch, which might be why they lead with it. The... uh, whatever the U.S.S Nog was, gently caress if I'm going to remember the ship classes for stuff that was half on screen for three seconds, but it has a similar sort of design intent but actually looks like a Federation vessel, if maybe built in concert with some other race/faction that joined them after the "present" day. Even if the weird tail on it is a head scratcher.

Eisenberg class, because it's named after Aron Eisenberg (Nog's late actor). He passed just before they did Disco S3 and they named both the ship and the class in tribute.

I think they might've been going for having classic primary hull/neck/engineering hull/nacelles in a different format.
