psyer posted:Serie A rights expired for BeIN Sport last season. Right now Serie A still has no TV rights holder. There are rumors that ESPN and Turner are interested in those rights. It is also rumored that IMG is trying to package Serie A and FA Cups rights together as no one seems to be wanting to pay for the FA Cup rights for the price it is asking. I guess speaking of Community Shield, WorldSoccerTalk is reporting that ESPN+ will air the Community Shield as a one off while Serie A and FA Cup rights will still be up for grabs. WST has always been hit and miss with these. One time they really got it wrong by reporting that BeIN Sport won the rights for Premier League in the US. http://worldsoccertalk.com/2018/08/01/chelsea-man-city-community-shield-match-finds-home-usa/

Can someone clarify the UEFA stuff? If the game will be airing on TNT will I be able to watch it streaming if I pay for the full package or per game basis. Or are those games walled off for over air broadcast only?

The pass should give you all the matches of the Champions League and Europa League.

He's technically still on the ESPN payroll for another month or two, I think. It's weird that they were vain enough about wanting their guys breaking stories to spend a billion dollars on Woj tweeting things a few seconds before everyone else, but didn't want to keep the significantly cheaper college football version. It's not like college football is unpopular or a minor part of the network, it basically built the place. Someone on Twitter should have given poor McMurphy's scoops a catchy hashtag.

This was because the Cubs & Braves were on "superstations" that broadcast about 90% of their games, while the Twins only put their road games on TV via the idea that as long as there were tickets available at the Metrodome then people should go to the game if they want to see it. I grew up in Northeast PA this time frame. We got all the Braves games on TBS, all the Mets games on WWOR, and all the Yankees games on WPIX. I never ever saw the Phillies because they were poo poo and never on national broadcast, and their games were all on PRISM, a premium channel (along with the Flyers and Sixers).
