Has anyone ever substantiated the rumors of W being smart in any way? I’ve heard it before too, but I’m skeptical that he’s highly intelligent even in narrow ways that don’t pertain to leading a nation. He strikes me as largely incurious and apathetic.

He definitely has social intelligence, which probably served him in his pre-destined journey through america's gross political system. This doesn't show when he has to talk to hundreds (or millions when on tv) of people at once. But if you see pictures or video of him schmoozing, the people he is directly talking to usually have a genuine smile on their face. This was most telling to me when Obama was president. Any time W and Michelle Obama were talking she is legitimately charmed at whatever the gently caress he is saying. He would be a good waiter is I guess what I am getting at.

And since that last sentence is essentially a compliment, let me post easy access to his administrations list of atrocities, and say gently caress THE BUSH DYNASTY I HOPE YOUR LINE STRUGGLES WITH INFERTILITY

It was a good joke, just possibly way the gently caress too soon given that the saga isn't actually over yet.

Neil Degrasse Tyson, or hell even someone like Jordan Peterson are great examples of how most people are only "intelligent" in very discipline-specific ways. You only notice that they're stupendous dumbasses when they step outside of their lanes.

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

About officers:

I distinguish four types. There are clever, hardworking, stupid, and lazy officers. Usually two characteristics are combined. Some are clever and hardworking; their place is the General Staff. The next ones are stupid and lazy; they make up 90 percent of every army and are suited to routine duties. Anyone who is both clever and lazy is qualified for the highest leadership duties, because he possesses the mental clarity and strength of nerve necessary for difficult decisions. One must beware of anyone who is both stupid and hardworking; he must not be entrusted with any responsibility because he will always only cause damage.

If you want to understand the financial services industry, you have to think in terms of which of these four groups is in charge.

Maybe not smart but less dumb. There is footage of him speaking and debating while governor or in the race to be governor and it's like a different person. Like he took a massive blow to the head (or a massive load of blow) that turned him into the Dubya we know now.

Which makes it a good case study in how far a person can go if they have literally zero morality.

Trump really hasn't "gone" anywhere. He's still riding on daddy's money and the media he hates so much (who now claim to hate him) made him famous enough to win a popularity contest against a bunch of idiots.

But again, he also used to speak much more eloquently, whether or not what he said was correct or agreeable. Senility or brainworms or drugs or something has made him a blithering idiot.

Technically he lost the popularity contest, but due to how stupid the electoral system is he got elected anyway.

I was under the impression that daddy's money was long, LONG since wasted and now he owes a troubling amount to Deutsche Bank and Bank of China.
