Real talk my lower/middle school library had this HUGE (like 15ft long x 7-8ft high) tapestry of Redwall characters that we won because at a book signing/reading by Brian Jacques our school had the most kids come. I still have a signed copy of Castaways of the Flying Dutchman lying around somewhere

Nice, I have a signed copy of Mossflower. Never met him myself but my Aunt got it signed because she liked his stuff, and then gave it to me (which is actually what got me into the series)

redwall was p. ownage at first but its window missed my ideal age by just a bit and I got tired of them long before they stopped getting written

also whenever I read them I would constantly ask myself how a mouse and a badger could practically live in the same building and eat at the same table and so on

When I was old enough to start asking those questions I realized I was old enough to stop reading those books and quickly found Discworld. I've read most of those books through 2-3x each

what kind of idiot nerd watches that movie and goes away thinking "that was terrible, bane's background story has many subtle differences as detailed in batman comics 67 though 232-b" and not "that was stupid, you don't cure a broken back by punching a vertebra pack into place"
