Slavvy posted:did you just happen to be in a helicopter? Are you, in fact, MacGuyver? I'm not MacGuyver, I was just standing on the edge of a railing. They were difficult shots though as the waterfalls are raging right now and you'd get massive sprays at which point you'd have to run for cover and then try again. Extra painful at night. Though it was kinda fun Thankfully the X-T1 is weather sealed and the lenses held up.

In hindsight there is way too much dead space toward the bottom and I should've cropped but I've been in a picture taking slump recently. Summer is surprisingly boring when it comes to finding poo poo to point a camera at, here.

Hmmm thought you guys might have been referring to the sky, which has a a bit of a yellow tint. Are you referring to the grass in the foreground?

murp posted:Just a look I have been messing around with. Same thing here, but with Tmax. Are you using the red filter to just let you crush the blues and greens in a scene AND go for low contrast? To me they just look muddy, and not in a good/interesting way. If you expose "normally" with a red filter you should be getting dramatic, high contrast images, which is very striking on its own. I don't think underexposing is really adding to image, it just makes the images unpleasant/difficult to look at. Is this what your going for with these? What do you like about them? (Not trying to be a jerk, just wondering what your aim with them is?)

Nah, I'm looking at the highlights on the handrails and some of the light shining through the trees, which both appear slightly pink on my screen.

Spedman posted:(Not trying to be a jerk, just wondering what your aim with them is?) Most of these are exposed for the highlights, with 3-4 stops of compensation. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Just something I have been playing around with. Appreciate the criticism either way.

Were you compensating for the loss caused by the filter? I think you should keep shooting with it, just try a bit more variation in your exposure range.
